There are a lotta shortcomings in this game (though far far fewer than most MMOs that have come out after WOW) but the thing that bugs me the most has to be the presentation of UI pannels.

The primary UI is great, I must say. BUT the inventory, character screen, inventory, item icons. All of it just looks too cheaply made.

Afaik at max distance your char only fills 1/8-1/10 of the screen or something similar.

And the voices do change, you just cant preview them yet. Guess they'll implement that when they put the rest of the english voiceovers in.

I think the point that most are making about SM is NOT that the character needs to be buffed up but that its core attribute is not just weakened but removed just at the most important time it is needed..pvp battles and thereby puts them at a huge disadvantage. Hunters evidently had a difficulty that put them in an unfair position and was therefore addressed by the dev team. They did not if my understanding is correct buff the hunter but instead made it possible for their arrows to be able to have enough range in flight battle to land the attack causing damage they normally would have. Personally, I feel that the SM class being unable to make use of its primary attribute is a flaw. And here again I have heard that the Dev team is addressing the issue .. NOT buffing the class. They are adding an ability to summon an orb in flight battles to initially provide a measure of relief and I have read/heard they may make it possible for pets or A pet to fly. I do not intend on playing an SM, it is just a point that I feel is well taken.

This is what beta is about .. to find inherent weaknesses, unforeseen problems or bugs and address them before the game goes live. Without player feedback that would not be possible .. ergo .. betas. I think where the OP hits the nail on the head is when we get to complaining instead of being constructive with our criticisms.

nothing about the game is bad for me,,,but players are,,,the jumping about makes me seeth (LOL) and the kill stealing!

The worst thing about this game is the end-game abyss rank design, which needs serious work. I understand the neccessity to have a penalty involved with deaths, but it gets to the point that all the top pvpers basically have to resort to killing only afk players, or gang murdering solo-underleveled players (who still give questionably decent abyss points, considering they have zero chance) since one death can undo an hour of work for them. (I'm talking commander level here). Also, they may need to make the guardian system weaker, or easier to get (though i think that will work out over time as people have more points then they know what to do with) since currently anytime decent large-scale pvp gets going, one or two people will pop it, and while I am sure THEY are having a blast, everyone else is worthless fodder and is frankly best off logging out. There is no "rewarding pleasure" to the challenge of a battle that insanely one-sided, there just isn't. Maybe it works for asian players, but it will absolutely with 100% certainty relegate AION to a third-rate mmo in the western market, behind WoW/War/ and probably even some F2Ps, if they keep a system that encourages people NOT to mass pvp.
