Wake up and smell the roses matey, every game has bots to a degree you will never stop that. As long as they try to stay ontop of the BOT situation by banning them then you can't ask for much more.

And I could care less about if people regard my posts as trash, because some of them don't. ^-^ I'm pretty sure you don't care about any other new person because they're not different and I stand out more than your sorry-*** self does.

I believe the people have spoken.. and they say you are terrible, as well. But, to rub salt into that wound, because I can:

A.) If you'd have taken the time to LOOK at my "Join Date" in the side column, you'd see that I haven't been here studying for two + years, or even glued to the Source for three years. I've been here just over ONE year.

B.) With how "properly" you tried to format your message, and looking at the dates between postings, I guess it makes sense that it took you four days to type that. Or come up with more failures of flames. Tsk tsk, are you even trying?

C.) Terrible.

Of course though, you cared about me so you took the time every day to check this thread and check when I posted. Hey look I'm back 8D! Really though, I was going to sit back and let the game launch and see how the bot thing turned out, but with Acclaim essentially killing TCoS in the water right now with their delays and lack of info, and NCsoft actually doing something about bots for once, it seems I'm back on board for waiting for launch.

I have no idea why I keep coming back to these forums. They are so filled with sarcasm and hate, it's ridiculous. Did Helena's post offend you guys? Really? Is the color of her text or the length of her sentence important enough to all of you to totally try to make her feel like less of a person?

I've posted here only a few times. I'm pretty sure the rest were mostly for this same reason. Whats wrong with people? Can't anyone get their point across without putting another down? Do you all feel like it makes you look good? Does it make you look smart?

The answer is no...no it doesn't do any of those things. When you make a point by being rude, it makes YOU look like the dumb one. It shows YOUR insecurities.

Looking at that list, it's quite obvious that it's bots.

Those are gibberish created accounts. Just like you see in Orgrimmar spambots with names like Qmgldndlwg etc, random letters.

EverQuest had a lovely Name Approval Queue and online Guides/GM's had the buttons to approve or deny a name. I once had the opportunity to have been witnessing a guy trying to slip a name similar to v.agina or b.oobies through the filters

I was an L2 player, and there was always bots. The GM's said they are not able to do anything about this, and they said these people that are using the bots are paying for the game like I was. So they told me they are not going to do anything about the bots. I think it was because they did not know how at the time. 5 years have passed, I hope they would have someone working for them that is able to deal with the new bots and gold farmer issues we have. Aion does look very good, and I hope these bot and gold farmer isses get fixed. To ban an IP really does nothing, when all you have to do is spoof your IP or use a Proxy server. Lets hope NC soft makes the best of this game, and fixes these issues, this games look and sounds like it could be the WOW killer, this is what the MMO community needs and lets hope it can do it.

Please people understand how the internet works (Apologize for grammer/spelling short on time)

I dont mean to be rude or anything so just take this as a quick lesson in IP addresses. IP addresses are assigned by DHCP, now when you plug your modem into the internet your modem askes your ISP for an IP address. Now lets say you have your IP address banned from site/game/whatever, all you have to do is unplug your modem for around 5-10 mins (most likely thats even over kill) and then when you plug your modem back in your ISP will assign a new IP address.

Tl;DR

Banning by IP address does NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

Still lots of bots on korean servers. My friend is playing there, and on one pvp raid he did about 250 frags, and half of these was bots lol. So yeah, guess NCsoft doing a great job there. In other words - dream more.

Strange, the last time I went to the enemy faction I wondered where all the bots were gone... because all guys run away when I came and attacked them, so definately those were no bots

Lets just hope they keep this bannings up^^

P.S. BTW, today they just did another ban hammer to get rid of 720 more bots!
