DP helps to PROC?

Anyone else here about this? A guildie told me about it but it sounds like bs. He said if you had a full DP bar it helps you proc.

No, it doesnt. If it supposedly does, then i guess it adds a .1% to it? lol

Many have tried and tested it, myself included, and it didnt help at all. Its just LUCK.

Doubtfully. The referenced site is a wiki, anyone can post whatever they want on that. Notice it says the page was edited by an 'honorary editor'. People like to invent little tricks for proc'ing 'more often' but in reality, its most likely just a simple set chance. Who makes a game saying "OK how about this. They kill a bunch of monkeys to get DP, which then helps them craft rare stuff!"

did a little testing of this last night. nothing massive, but things came out on the high end of normal, ime. 91 manastone upgrades ( oh my god, the catalysts.. ), required level 390, skill level 399, max DP.. 1 failure, 16 procs

It was floating around our Ventrilo last night as well, regarding procs for armor smithing.

Bought some 4k DP food last night just to try again, crafted 5 durable wisdom orbs at once and only crit one, same i would usually crit with no DP.

1) Is there a solid, referenced devquote saying DP effects crit chances and/or crafting procs?

2) Has anyone reliable performed statistically meaningful tests to investigate? (5 or even 100 is not enough repeats and anecdotal evidence such as what some guy says he read on a forum says certainly isn't.)

If the answer to both these are "no" then no one has a clue. If the answer is yes to either then lets have a link.

But I don't think it makes enough of a difference to matter. Still, if you're at full DP, and have something to craft, it's not been shown to hurt, either. FWIW, I've crit fine with no DP.

Your "official" source says that DP increases HEALING CRITICAL chance, which is complete bollocks as heals can't crit. Very credible source you have there.

i proc alot i never craft with dp just bullcrap made up by retards

its like sayin with 4000 dp u got higher chance to get gold item drop or to extract the 20% chance high grade ??
DP is just like HP bar has nothing to do with anything apart from skills

No, however in CBT there were some tests done that suggested that DP did nothing although they were done with relatively small sample sizes(100ish)

Not publicly anyways, maybe we need to convince a gold buyer to help us out... too expensive to run meaningful tests for most people.
