Standing 1hour to make 400 alchemy ingredients

Is this a joke? So i have spent hours to gather the ingredients, and now the game makes me sit and watch 2 freaking pulsing bars filling up for 1 hour to manufacture another ingredients from the ones gathered... This must be just some bug.. tell me its true. Each process takes 6-10 seconds... this is really not entertaining to watch some stupid bars. What for is this implemented? Just ot keep me paying for few more hours? Becouse of those few more hours standing next to the proffesion's table game will keep me playing like several months shorter!

Why do people do people actually sit and watch their characters do this? Why don't you just.. you know, plan to craft before you go to bed and AFK it?

The only times I'll actually watch crafting is when I'm praying for a crit. Gotta light up all of the candles and break out the shrine and such...

other than that, don't bother watching.

Another thread about the joys of crafting. I'll save up for it, queue it up and go to sleep. Last night needed to make Thick Leather Pads. Had 500 Thick Leather and Hardeners. Hit All, went to sleep, woke up in the morning to find around 112 Thick Luxury Pads.

The only time I'll actually sit there and watch it is when I'm sitting there with my hands together praying for a proc. Even doing work orders I'll queue it up and watch some TV shows that I have playing on my other screen and put my attention back to the Aion screen about 2 minutes later.

Want to talk about a time sink? On my ranger it being my 3rd toon I'm trying to level 4 different crafts as I go along. Every time I'm back in Sanctum to pick up new skills I go to level my crafts (Main 2 crafts are 5 levels below my toon level, level 20 toon would be 150 skill, other 2 crafts are 10 below, 20 toon would be 100 skill level). Leveling 4 crafts to the level that I want takes around 3-4 hours if I remember correctly.

I thought you have already left! Gee, why do you even bother playing this game if you hate every aspect of the game.

What do you think craft should be? As soon as you gather mats, you instantly are granted final products?

Make good use of this event's rewards (or transformation food in general). If you craft while shapeshifted, you "skip" the success animation part of the crafting. This alone speeds up the process in about 40% or so

But, yeah, crafting does take time. But this is part of the game. If every newbie I pug crafted during their TV time instead of running instances/attacking fortresses, this would be by far a more enjoyable game, lol.

Its not like forging a sword or brewing a potion takes 5 seconds IRL either, so it doesn't seem so off.. if the process was easy there would be so many expert crafters around the market would be ruined fast...

If spending so many hours seems a waste, maybe crafting is not your thing, spend your time hunting instead and buy your consumables with the Kinah farmed, can be as productive as doing them yourself and more enjoyable for some people... ^-^
