Hard Time Selling Recovery Pots

As some way know i posted that I hit Expert Alchemy about 4 days ago. Now I have been making Recovery Potions Recovery Potion - Items - Aion In mass, because I thought not only are they great pots but its an easy way to level my Alchemy to 449.

I have almost 2000 of these potions selling them for only 1k each, and I sold only one stack of 100 in the last 4 days.

Why do you think this is? If you the HP and MP pots separate it would cost 1600 per pair at my servers price. I offering 2 in 1 for 1000k, 600 less.

Could it be that people dont know about these pots, as the server has only gotten these pots only 4 days ago outside of quest rewards? Or are they just not needed?

Alchemist in need of help here lol.

I really, really doubt people are searching for them on the broker.

Try private store and see how you go. Especially Abyss.

For most classes its rare to find you'll need to recover both mana and hp at the same time. I have about 30 of the instant version on me but rarely use them unless I'm soloing or just got a res in the middle of battle.

Umm... your a cleric you should only ever need HP, unless your in danger or just died as you stated same goes for clerics. However every other classes needs it. And I priced them so cheap that its actuall almost the same price to buy the combo than to buy even one or the other.

In my server Life Potion is 850 each. My recovery pot is 1000 each. Mana Potion is 750 each on a good day. I honestly think like Purple said, people just arent searching for them. Ill try selling in abyss again, Especially on weekends. Maybe once word of mouth spreads and people buy enough of them to feel how great they are in training they will start searching for them.

Ill update how it goes.

As mentioned previously, the most likely reason is that customers don't think to check for them.

Try spreading the word that they actually exist.

1) Link them in trade channel with an advertisement for them.
2) Throw up a personal store in the main city or main abyss city with the item linked in the message.

Once everyone knows they are there, and that they are pretty cheap, I'm sure your sales will pick up.

I can also attest, as a cleric, that we would use them. Penance takes time to regen. Using a pot to skip that time is increased grinding speed, and can be useful.

Not to mention if you get ganked during a mob fight and your bars are at half way.

I tried the advertising and Abyss. I try again during the weekend when more people play. I priced the pots at 100 each to test my theory that they dont know they exist. And they didnt sell lol. Not some advertising to do.

Yep, I would do this. Dropping 100k on 100 potions is something to think about. Dropping 10, 15, or 25k on their respective amounts; well that is an impulse purchase and much more affordable.

I would also try a private store in a popular place like your main city in the Abyss. With the private store the stack can be split to the buyer's liking and it will increase advertising for your name and what you can create.

This isn't quite true honestly. I post 50 stacks of "Major" potions at 1600-2200 kinah a piece and there isn't enough Grobule or Subella on the server to satisfy sales volume.

Once people break the late 30's their income is so high and the downtime that not spamming pots costs far outweighs a few hundred thousand kinah.

I've gone so far as posting stacks of 1k potions and they sell out faster than stacks of 25,50,100. Your right when you say people don't mind dropping a few 100k on pots because that downtime is money and you can make back what you spend in a pot with the time you save no problem.

I have your answer.

I bought 800 of these the other day for my cleric to use them for grinding. Worst investment EVER.

What the potion does not tell you is that it ticks a heal, then ticks mana, then ticks a heal. So you only get half of the healing and half of the mana that you would get from either an equal level mana or healing potion. The 97 heal would tick 5 times and the mana portion would tick 5 times. I am not sure if this is a bug.

Your best bet would be to make the mana potions. Many people like myself go through hundreds of these per day and I tend to buy the ones that tick.

Sounds like your lagging because that exactly NOT how they work. It both at the very same time. Anyway as an update these pots are no longer a problem selling. Last week I sold 1000 Major Recovery pots in 30 mins. Advertising does work lol thanks all for the advise.

And P.S no idea why a cleric would EVER buy 800 of these, the only time you would need it is During Penance we can take care of our own HP.....

As Alexqd3 said, that's not true at all, you get both the HP and MP tick at the same time, every 2 seconds for the full 20 seconds. Recovery Potions and Serums are tasty indeed, they're starting to slowly sell here as well which is nice. Though the profit on them is not as good as certain other <399 potions...
