To hit 400 in one of the more popular crafts, you'd really want to be one of the first people to get to that point, so when the overall amount of kinah in the market is still low and people would sell stones at cheaper prices. Otherwise, you pretty much need a legion to help you farm all your mats.

The list from easy to hard for the expert quest is:

Cooking
Armorsmithing and Sewing
Alchemy, Handicraft, Weaponsmith

Cooking doesn't require refining stones which makes it somewhat easier.
Armorsmithing and sewing require a single crit.
Alchemy, Handi, and Weaponsmithing require you crit on a white then use those crit'd white recipes to crit a craftman's recipe. Overall requiring about 4-5x the materials.

I really don't see what the point is in making it so terribly difficult to complete this quest. It's not like you're even going to keep and use the reward.
The quest isn't difficult for a legion to do, just for a solo player which seems reasonable. Also as the servers mature the prices for the refining stones will drop. This is very much a guild/legion oriented game after all.

It isnt difficult, but you can get the quest at lvl 30, and considering the craftsman's refining stones drop from mobs lvl 45+ it's going to take a while to get enough money to buy or level up and actually drop them. Plus having to level up gathering and aether gathering.

In C-Aion we've been doing 45+ mobs, and we've dropped white Premium Armor, and Craftsman's Acessories and Weapons, but not a single Craftsman's Premium Armor. C-Aion doesnt want me to be an expert there.... there's no way I'm paying 5k in each stone and having the possibility of not getting the actual needed item

I heard the drop had been increased in 1.5, can anyone confirm?

I heard the drops were raised "slightly" in 1.2. Not sure if you're on a C-Aion server that got upgraded and could at least see if that's the case there.

Can you show me which one is wrong so I can get it updated?

Thanks so much.
Nope, your spot on with 353 ingots/ore

Yep, all of the new mobs in Brusthonin and Theobomos have a chance to drop these stones, on Beritra/East China we've seen a drop from approx 4M kina per stone to 900k kina per stone.

Prices for the Craftsman's Premium Armor Refining Stones have dropped from 5-10 million down to 1-2 million per stone so drop rates were definitely increased.

Just to clarify: mobs on Theobomos can drop these? That seems too low level.

They made Theobomos the size of Elten/Interdiktah now. All the new areas have level 45-50 mobs. Kind of weird going from a level 25 mob to a level 45 mob within the span of 20 seconds, but they have guards there at the borders so lowbies don't accidentally wander in and get killed I guess.

Interesting, thanks.

I did notice when I was last there, there was a lot of "undiscovered" land mass on the island and a road block that you couldn't get through.

I'm kinda glad to see an epic style crafting system in this game.

It will be interesting to see how much impact the Expert gear has on things given crafting that (and the level 48 Orichalcum gear) is the only way to really raise your skill after 400. The Expert armor refining stones are random drops off mobs level 30+.
