I assumed that's what the issue was, but I searched the quest and it said it was available at 29, so assumed that could have possibly been wrong. I suppose it isn't going to matter considering there is no way I'll be obtaining the materials to make the shield anyway lol. Which sucks bc I have the design to 5-6 of those awesome lvl 33 armor pieces

thanks for the info, hit 399 yesterday and was wondering how to start that quest, looks like it will take a loooooong time before I get to 400 oh well a long time goal then

Is the recipe just gotten from the work orders? For the final craft, that is. I leveled up all the way, along with like 10-12 more 390 quests and didn't see it from there, nor was it on the vendor there. Am I missing something or does my luck just blow?

Yeah. The primary way to obtain the quest shield recipe is via the 390+ work orders. And it can take a while. Some folks said they're doing 4+ hours of crafting the highest work orders to finally get their recipe to drop.

To be clear, the first recipe you need to HQ proc is a white recipe you *can* purchase from the mats vendor. The second recipe is a green quality Worthy that you need to HQ proc into blue and that one's a work order reward or rare drop from mobs.

Did that work order quest to start the quest to craft green shield from white one, and you know what I faild 6 times...man I was mad, spend all my 644 Adamantium before it proced, if that happens on next shield, I' so goin gto cry like a little girl

You were lucky with only 6. I failed on 8 of them then double proc'd on attempt 9 and 10.

So if you are on zikel and want to buy the shield for the quest its only 2 million kinah.


Once I get the flux for the next shield I'll be set. I have enough ore atm for 7 attempts. I like to farm

FYI, the official Aion site has recently confirmed that having more DP increases your chance of critical anything - healing crit, physical crit, and (most importantly for this thread) procs on crafting.

So, either do a bunch of grinding or eat some DP jelly before you start work on those shields.

So got all the mats together for the Orich shield a few hours ago and critted!

Then watched in horror as I failed on the crit. I have been eating ice cream and drinking beer for 5 hours now.
