i've gotta say though, age isn't always a sign of immaturity, although it is likely the biggest factor. i've had a couple guild members i assumed were adults for the longest time, then when i hopped onto vent, lil tweeny voices were behind the characters. a big-*** tauren with a 12-yr-old voice is unsettling indeed O_o but it's seriously all about mental age. i've met people older than me (i consider myself on the younger end of the demographic) that make me ashamed to be even socializing with them. Originally I thought that I had chose to go Elyos because of the lighter look that they had. I just thought it might be kinda fun to play a bad guy in a race that most would play as a hero types. Oh and also I really didnt like the bat wings. I totally thought that the wings didnt fit with the lore of the story.
Next I started looking at things like the armor. I really dont care for the horse heads and such on the Elyos stuff. The Asmodian stuff looks so much cooler to me, with the spikes and blades. (some of the shoulder blades go a tap to far I think.) So I thought that I had switched that easy. I'm def going Asmodian. Lets say I wish it could have gone like that. Everyday now, I am going back and fourth with reasons why I should play one or the other. I know the couple of friends I work with who are goin to play are prob gettin sick of hearing my reasons for going back and forth. This is'nt goin to be an easy choice for me I think even up to launch day. I was kinda hoping that by reading all of this I might get some answers.... Once again I am lost. =( |

Age really doesn't have anything to do with maturity. Some of the most mature and considerate people I've met and guilded with have been younger than 18. I even had a 15 year old as a guild leader, who was beyond amazing. Then there are some people like two of my younger brothers, who happens to be over 21, and they are probably some of the most immature and selfish players you could meet in game, so age doesn't always play a big part. Maturity isn't how old you are, or how much knowledge you've gained, its basically how well you respect the people around you and their time.
Personally, I'd much rather have a 'kid' who shows respect to my guildmates, as well as fellow players, than a 25 year old who shows up late and drains guild resources for their own gain. Anyone that thinks they're mature just because of the years they've put in on this earth, hasn't met some of the better players. I have come across some really immature players in my years of gaming, both young and old. Back onto the topic, I wouldn't let some insult that someone, somewhere put into text on a computer screen, stop me from enjoying my game experience. Also, some of what may have been taken as an insult were most likely just one player's personal opinion, and not necessarily intended to upset anyone. To each his own, we all have our own likes and dislikes. What might be right for one person isn't always right for the next person, and there's nothing wrong with that. In the end it's a game, and odds are the person who unintentionally or intentionally insulted you and your choice will not cross your path in game anyway. The game was created for you to enjoy, so don't let anyone take that from you. |

As the director of Aion said. Evil in this world is subjective. Let the elyios players believe what they want, after all we were all made in Aion's Image ^_^
