This is just an idea, but as many posters in this Asmodian forums. Plus the game is not out yet either. We could always gather up the Asmodian fans here onto a same server when the game comes out.
If it helps even a little. Plus it may be fun. Just thought I would suggest the idea. Either way I'll enjoy the race. That game looks very fun and promising. ^_^

Depending on what bonuses the races get on official release, it will effect the amount of players playing a certain race...
We will just have to see.

Even if the Elyos got a drastic advantage, I wouldn't change. They always balance to a certain extent, so that's very unlikely. Even if, that just means it would take more skill to play a Asmo, the more challenge the better imo. Lastly if I can be a Asmo, disadvantage doesn't matter.

You shouldn't change, indeed, but for a whole different problem. If people start changing because they're at a disadvantage, things will only escalate.
At any rate, being outnumbered is something both side should be taking note of, atleast not to be sure of. Just be prepared for anything if it comes down to numbers on each side. I doubt many will jump factions just for the sake of balancing if they spend so much time on a character. As I stated before, skill help, but numbers help even more. If you've more people on your side, the chance that a high skilled player is among them is much higher than if you've low number of people. Sure you need more skill to beat more numbers, but think practical and not how it should be on this matter, it's impossible in the long run.

Many people on Aion-Welten.de now picking Asmodians because they want to be on the "outnumberd site" but in the end i think it'll be 60% Eloys and 40% Amsodian.

I would never change to the Elyos side, even if they outnumber us, they'll finally die... plus that the more Elyos to kill, more fun muhahahah

well it really doesnt matter if they out number us because just because they have more people in all doesnt mean they will on the battle field.

anyway..just because elyos have the majority doesn't mean that all of there players are any good... in WoW the horde is outnumbered in many servers if not all.. but from what I hear alliance puts up with one too many noobs... I can't really say much about that since I play horde.. and I dont play my alliance char. much X) |

From playing both Lineage 2 and WoW I will say what I have seen from server imbalances to factions. You are exactly right in your view Pillow. Battle grounds are capped at a set number where as world pvp in WoW (Nagrand/EPL and so on) it caters for the strongest crowd by numbers. On my server the horde have no chance of gaining Halaa if the Alliance wants it. Even their best two Horde pvp guilds can not subdue 100+ players crushing them from a zerg. As with castle sieges in L2 that also is true the more high end players the better the results on victory. With the Abyss in Aion, I wonder if the NPC faction will balance out the area as the game developers intend to, or will fall too under the might of the dominant faction. Though concerning faction imbalances past gaming history has told many of us who normally wins and why in open pvp.

Stop worrying about winning and losing, because here's what will actually happen.
Both sides will make peace and there will be one united race. The Abyss will be reserved for picnics and roleplaying. |
