To OP: I used to be equally interested in both playable races, but as more information and artwork became available, I began to favour Asmodians. However, I do believe this is largely because Elyos have not had NEARLY as much coverage. (This may be because the company's marketers know that people tend to be fascinated with dark and mysterious imagery and stories.) I do not doubt that I will have immense trouble choosing which race to play more seriously, at first.
