i think that the asmodians part of the world looks really nice...if the enviroment of the asmodians appears too dark to you than switch on the lights of your room !!!

And about asmodians environments, think that there isnt any final version of Aion, so maybe they will put in more elements in the areas that looks empty of details, and those screens are from CBTII

Heh dont invent things which arent true. They didnt change something in old locations since CBT2. They only added some NPCs and 2 more locations. And I'm sure they wont do it at all. Dont deceive yourself. They are working now on Centrral Abyss and severeal new high level pve zones.
I know that its senselessly. But if someone of community coordinators will read this. Plz tell you designers: We need more objects in asmodians pve zones!!! ![]() Last edited by ILLUSIA; 08-29-2008 at 05:16 PM.. |

Umm you do realize those screenshots were like, the very first screens of the Asmodian zones. They aren't empty like that these days. I only posted them to show the range of lighting and basic color schemes of the zones, without doing too much searching.
Here ya go for all you negative people out there: This one is at night time: http://img.gamemeca.com/ftp_data/com...1214903375.jpg http://img.gamemeca.com/ftp_data/com...1214903380.jpg The Asmodian lands have both day and night. The iconic tree can even be seen during the day time in the second video. Last edited by Writh; 08-29-2008 at 05:39 PM.. |

ok if you insist I'll post CBT3 screenshots
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() etc. same problems switch off fan-boy inside you and try to look them objectively if you dont want to be disapointed when you'll see it with your own eyes :Р BTW Abyss is rather empty too. but its justified there 'cause its a pvp zone, so less objects = less lags. |

First Screen: Yes, it can be better
Second Screen: I do not see any problem, only the colors, but that is a matter of tastes ^^U iīm completely sure that there are people that prefers enviroments like in that screen that all color and shiny like the Elyos half Third Screen: I donīt see any problem there, is a freeze area ^^U and again, that is a matter of taste Fourth Screen: Donīt know what uīre trying to show us in a screen that more than a half of it is the floor ^^U And no Fan-Boysm here, the thing u seem no to undestand is that is a matter of tastes, if u donīt like Asmodian areas, pick an Elyos ^^U

Fanboi, wow, you are a very angry person. The zones were states as dark, I proved they aren't. You said they were empty, looking at the images and the videos they aren't at all. I think you might wanna take a moment to take a deep breath, you seem to have a chip on your shoulder for no reason. Oh yeah, and though I failed to update my race/class I'm going Elyos/Templar after my friends decided they didn't want to play Asmodian. I'm actually quite objective on the matter and only seek to help calm any misconceptions.

2 - I'm not talking about colours. Tastes differ. I'm talking about design and lack of objects in asmo zones.
3 - again no objects. snow, mountains 1 pine tree and ugly low detailed crystal 4 - all zone is a blue floor with mobs on it and mountains around. couldnt find a screen were i could show it. ok forget it. somebody satisfied with it. but I wonder what game you played before if its enough for you. Ragnarok? RF online? or what? ![]() Writh, I'm not angry at all. I'm just trolling today. ^ ^ I hope that new asmo zones which will be shown in OB shall be much better. Compared to WoW ( yes I compared cause wow is just a good mmorpg on different subjects ) the landscape is a bit empty. They could put in some more items / animals. also they coudnt use some more bright colors in the asmodian side. The asmodian side is not evil but they really are convincing people with the style they use that they are evil xD ( which they are not btw )
Its just to bad our opinion will not been seen ![]() I don't think the Korean players have eye for such detail, they rather wanna grind more, better droprates etc... |

I don't see anything depressing in in the Asmodian lands TBH. The night sky reminds me of "The Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh. As mentioned before, it's all personal preference though. For some people, being surrounded by a lighter atmosphere could be equivalent to being confined within the white walls of an office cubical (I've read that certain colors effect people in different ways, for example schools have classrooms specifically painted white to instigate concentration of the students). Not to mention that the Elyos land could have it's fair share of baron wastelands as well. Again, though, it's all about what you personally find enlightening, enjoyable, depressing, etc.
