They stole me name!

Long ago, I played a priest named "Sariel" -I picked the name completely at random, by deleting letters from a "Random generator", for my NE Priest in WoW. Sure enough, I open a 4E PHB and BOOM, there's a 'suggested' name for Eledrin female, "Sariel".

I wrote them a letter, saying that they should patch the handbook, due to the bad PR (For those who played WoW, think Shadowmeld + mind control + big cliff... around patch 1.2. For days at a time) they might receive, and have not gotten a response.

Eh umm...I've been "Azmodean" in WoW for a reeeeeaaaaally long time. My Asmodian character is actually RPly going to believe he is the descendant of my Azmodean. The names are not mutually exclusive to anyone or anything...from what I understand Azmodean is a character from a book that I never read and never even heard of until I started playing him in WoW.

Asmodean in the wheel of time series...definitely was based on asmodeus as robert jordan pulls names from mythology (and its more devoutly believed derivatives) as it actually fits into his plot.

I am pretty sure there is a character named Asmodeus -- or something very similar -- in a prominent fantasy novel, or series of novels.... I, too, have seen an Asmodeus or some variation in every game I've played, on every server.

If it makes you feel better, Brandon Sanderson is one of the most amazing authors I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. He's also writing the last book in the Wheel of Time series, since Jordan's widow picked Sanderson to complete it. I can't adequately describe how much of a fan I am -- and trust me, I'm not the type who goes fan-crazy over modern authors. Try the first book of his Mistborn series and see for yourself.

I was wondering who was going to finish that series, I hope the final book does the WoT justice and Robert Jordan due justice. Not familiar with Sanderson though, guess I'll check something of his out.
