Does silence affect spells only or skills too?

If you can silence a gladiator before he can put on his Armor of IMBALANCE then silence godstones would be totally worth it.

Nah this is definitely a good thing to address. An entire thread (or 2) could be devoted to just the faction skill variants of Assassins, easily.

I believe Paralyze is the equivalent to Silence, but for skills. Would be nice to find out if anyone has concrete information.

I'd be down for the discussion for sure, as it's definitely a topic I'm interested in, seeing as how I love the looks of both races so really choosing a race lies in the ability set.

Wow! I love this thread!!! I was super worried about what sorta tools we get later on but this cleared it all right up nicely!

One thing I'm really boggled by is the "Aerial State". I know that when you are flying your p.def is lowered, does being in this state lower the p.def also?! If you have any sort of insight on that I'd appreciate it.

This soooo should get sticked. Keep up the good work!

If you look at the video Index linked in a different thread(The Assassin Tournament Video), you will see an example of the Aerial State, it's basically a stun but they are stuck in the air in a cage, looks pretty sick.

Yup! I saw it in HD and it's soooo nice looking. If you have all of your video settings up it looks like you're surrounded/suspended by threads of electricity.

Buuut ya...I want to know if you take increased physical damage like you do when you're in flight form...

Silence effect everything spells skills and all. Your Whirlwind slash or counterslash don't trigger when you resist a spell only when you dodge one /evade i guess. Paralyze godstones are the best to add for a sin, its almost like aerial state except for the air part. You can use pots, attack dispel or anything as for the other godstones like blind, slow all that stuff can be cured by a simple cure potion which anyone who intends on doing well in pvp carries a shitload of. Spiral slash is our 4k DP its utter **** to be honest i would never use it its such a waste with a long CD of 15minutes not much compared to the other skills which proves it's uselessness, even if it stuns the target...i mean our 2k dp with follow up strike can do 1.7kx3 hits on a mob now imagine that on a player...it will be much better then a measly **** dmg stun trust me also the fact that it uses 4k dp...which is hard to accumulate unless your in the abyss. If there's any more questions ill be glad in answering them and my source is myself(44 sin on CN) im not just reading off some sites and spewing **** without proof.

As Supamoe said, Paralyze is like aerial state, but without the aerial part. Since the aerial state ceases all actions and movement, yes, I'd call it another stun.

With regards to the different racials (but keeping this on topic for stuns): The Elyos Light Burst Signet is pretty much a guaranteed Pattern Explosion. They do the same thing, with LBS having a 10m farther range, and PE having ~80-90% chance to stun at full stacks. The wording on LBS is weird, I'm not sure if the number of engraved patterns matters (For you WoWers: think of the difference between a 1 combo point and a 5 combo point kidney shot) or if the stun duration is the same regardless of the number of engraved patterns you have up.

The racials kinda make me sad. WoW broke PvP by giving certain races an obvious advantage. The difference between a 20m stun and a small heal. Then again, when was the last time you were able to engrave on someone and let them slip more than 10 yards away...

Quite frequently, actually. Lots of things can happen after you engrave someone. They can stun, root, slow, fly, or do any number of other things to get away quickly. But besides that there is the skill Long Rang Engrave (10m range), which if you used this on a ranged target followed by the LBS, it would effectively be a long range stun combo.

silence doesn't effect melee skills, regarding buffs i dont know, even if it does u wont keep a gladiator silenced long enough to prevent use them armor of balance

the first hp leech signet erase (at lvl 34) is quite nice, if the signet is level 5 i leech around 600 hp, crap thing is it doesn't ALWAYS work

paralyze really is great, it paralyzes the target in place, they can't do ANYTHING, they just freeze them for a couple of seconds, once u get to the abyss or some areas of the game u would encounter mobs that paralyzes u and u would understand how pro that thing is

For some reason the whole silencing skill issue is beginning to irk me. Three people I've talked to that claim to have played 30+ in C-Aion, report that it indeed silences evertyhing. While you say otherwise. Times like these I really wish I could test things myself .

But ya, still off topic considering this is an Assasin Stun thread, not silence mechanics thread =).

i've fought a SM in my guild and he silenced me and i still managed to use my skills, maybe on godstones its different but i highly doubt that.

long range signet is ok, but it only lets u get it up to level 3, and it shares the same cooldown with pattern engraving, i gave it a test run the other day and other than help u a bit in pvp theres really no use for it, it did about 120-150 damage, and u gotta be in 11m range which isnt that much, but against running opponents its nice, i personally would prefer take out a bow and shoot them, especially because when u crit u have a chance to knock em back

check the pattern explosion cooldown, and its 18 sec my memory was misleading me
