Wow, reading this, assassins freakin own. Thanks Shil for the journal and Azn for the thread I like the rune system alot, and know I'll be able to play rogue-like class in aion :P

As of now they're only like combo points, unlike WoW though, in WoW if you use a skill that give you a combo point, as long as the skill hits the target you'll get the combo point. But for rune to apply, even if you hit the target with the skill, there's a chance that it won't apply.
I'm not sure if the debuff will do anything later on, it's possible. ohhh think I get a very cool skill at lvl 19 , too bad I can't lvl until after my Tuesday exam /cry

Not sure if you guys saw the new class videos? Remember the one where the assasin had the enemy stunned in air in a lightening prison thing then strike down at it? I saw a lvl 19 assasin using it >.> WTB T_T

They're not really done with the armor design I don't think, at least definitely not for the helmets. So far all the plate helms look exactly the same, and all the leather helmets look retarded, and out of cloth helm I've only seen two that looks great that happen to be tailor made. And as of now for some reason anyone can wear any type of helm. They're under "accessory" rather than armor. I'm pretty sure this will be changed later though lol, just seems weird that way.

Lol that's good to hear. I like the idea of debuffs when runes (or patterns that the wiki is talking about) are applied, and I hope they add some. But i don't like the idea of them not having a 100% chance of applying...it can mess up your moveset if you have things planned. Oh well, no complaining with what they've done.

eh, runes having a chance of missing will only make the game a little more dynamic . You have to admit, its more fun if you have a chance of missing, adds suspense.

I think that's a little more of an opinion. =/

Personally, I'd like it better if it was a 100% chance because that makes things a little more luck-based. It's like a roll of a dice each time you use that attack, and if you don't get any of them to proc, you're screwed out of using rune explosion off however many runes you've got....sorta like what Venom said.

I've never really been a big fan of procs, except on items....since I can choose to use them or not. Items can be pretty fun to having procs on.

i was trying to be optimistic -_- but you do have a good point, 100% helps you strategize more easily.

What i would like to see is an on command stun. So far i think they are all "chance to stun" and that is about as heartening as the rune dilemma...
