Why are you playing Assassin?

I love being opportunist, using stealth to sneak everywere, killing people with low HP with 1 or 2 blows.

I played Assassins in Lineage 2 Abyss walker and a Rougue in WOW, and in real life i practice Ninjutsu in Bujinkan and i love it.

I can only enjoy the game playing this way, i love to pist off people.

I played a SH(dark wizard) a lot in la2 and thought that assasin is some kind of hybrid treasure hunter:skills backstab,mortal blow,dash,stealth(agromobs dont attack),dagger mastery and class gladiator( able to wear dualaword)
i saw how these classes are leveling and pvp in la2.

before cbt2 i read that assasin is the only class where people with "good hands" rule in pvp 1:1 against same level opponent in nearly 90% cases.

basically it became very boring to solo grind like this
target mob,huricane,hurricane,body to mind,go pick drop,nextmob,huricane,huricane,go pick drop,nextmob,vampiric claw,huricane,go pick drop.

but playing aion assasin was a very different even from duelist and dagger classes in la2, where they can easily kill 5 mobs a row WITHOUT any skills.i remeber my first aion steps, when i died 2 times at the 1st level from the first mob and couldnt understand why .

but after it you have 4-6 skills and during fight all of them are on cooldown its like "extreme waiting for next cooldowned skill"/
So i continued playing this profession because its very different from wizard.

I've not decided wether I want to play assassin or a caster, but after playing a healing priest in world of warcraft for many years I feel that a change of gameplay would fit me well. When comparing classes and watching PVP and PVE movies it feels that it requires quite a lot more to play a melee class then ranged a.k.a endless kiting - this might not be true but it's a feeling I've gotten .

And dualwielding is hawt ^_^

ive always played as teh assassin type class, like some of th eprevious posts have said they provide a chance to think more stratigicaly rather than just "find, hit, hit, hit, hit, kill", however this would be the first game ive played where theres soooooo many different abbilitys its almost scary im afraid that stratagy is gogin to be in too high of a demand, im almost leanign towards eh warrior just for simplicity(yes yes i know all classes have there own unique complicatedness btu still)
any1 else feelign this?

Yeah I hear yah, but personally I go for the complicated classes to keep in interested in the game, I like being depended on a lot to get the job done, but I also really like just kickin the crap out of people, so thats why I am choosing Assassin, aside with other reasons.


Also, my alt is usually a healer, lol just thought I should throw that in there

*sigh* adn then you fail to get teh job done and everyone yells at you *flashback**shudders* lol.
hopefully when america gets its CB ill beable to try a sin out long enough to see, dont you hate it when CBs dont last long enough (<-- off topic) but yea the different play style fo teh sin deffinatly keeps the game interesting and away from the button smashing funness

i prefer assasin as he is sneaky and he is not takes seriously.i mean that in a battles like siege you will find templars and gladiators in the center with mages,rangers back and assasins will go up and down and will kill without get noticed ;p

i dont know if that will happen in Aion tho, i mean sure in quite a few games the sin type at first isnt cared abotu by the tanks so you can attack w/o beign attacked right away givign you enough tiem for a few kills, but in Aion the sin's abilitys are already well known so i think all the power players will be on teh look out.

hexylia u are right but this is assasin.u cant play assasin like a tank.he dont has the same power.so alla assasin players will have to be careful. if u have a better way to play with assasin except the sneaky one,tell it and to us

no no no nto what i ment. in the games ive played teh sin character you definatly had to play sneankaly but the tank characters didnt come right to you they went after other people first they thought that sins couldnt do much dmg even with their crit, i thought this was what you ment by "he is not takes seriously" but aparently not, sorry for the confusion. i was just sayign that the mind set/knowledge known of tanks in this game will be different from the games ive played.
there are times when you can play a sin like a tank but they are few and far between

aha ok.my mistake that i didnt understant what u meant.now u are right.it will be difficult as now they know our power but because i like chalenges and i dont want to play the same class as most of the people i will steak to assasin as u btw why u prefer asmodian assasin and not elyos? it will be nice if we will be in the same side (elyos i mean ) now i will have to kill u
