I played like that in Wow, it worked well. However like said, I hope we get more complexity. Who knows it might not even be possible for Assassin's, or be very inefficient.

As for tanks, we're kinda the opposite of a tank, sneaky and fragile. If you want to play like that though, I guess what you'll need to do is make your items, gems, build etc more defense based. I always wanted to try that with my rogue, with a complete "defense" build, def items, def gems, def abilities, ultimately that could make quite the tank. We're meant for damage not tanking, and many ppl tell you that if you get aggro or try to tank, but this idea is something which I want to try just for the sake of testing out and see how well it can be done. For fun.
hey maybe u are right that u can bat as many as possible before u go down but actually this is not real assasin (always in my mind of thinking). i believe that assasins arent made to kill as many as possible but just sneak around the enemys.it is not logycal to play assasin like gladi or ranger in attack aspect.i believe that assasins are only a sneaky class.thats why they can be invisible

I've been set on a chanter for the longest time but, a resent change in outlook has me leaning towards a possible class change. Theres always been something incredibly appealing about assassin / rogue classes to me. Keep your puppets, your pyro, the safety cage of plate, the miracles, the haxxzorbuffs... What other class is more efficient? More logical? As Ra's al Ghul said in Batman Begins: "If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart."

A lot of people give stealth classes a hard time because they dislike being ganked. I'm guilty of being as ****ed off as the rest. What I hate is when people say sneaking is 'cowardly'. Its not. The Sun Tzu says "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him."

You can't completely disrespect a class that will take on armored juggernauts, masters of elements, creatures, monstrosities, and fiends armed with a only a small sharp blade, a sharper mind, and a logic-driven viciousness. To be an assassin is to embrace risk, turning chaos into weaponry. It is to forgo ego, intimidation and flash in exchange for becoming an extension of fate. It is to be swift, simple, and silent. All very clean and yet, so delightfully messy. I have to say I would prefer an Asmo assassin to an Elyos for only one reason: the angel of death we fear, the reaper, comes on black wings with blade in hand. While you may not be struck in awe and fear at the sight of an assassin, I can guarantee that more often than you'd like, an assassin will be the last thing you DON'T see.

I agree, you do everything your capable of to win the battle. Besides a Assassin is a stealth class and relies on it, might as well remove the class if we can't stealth. It's like saying a ranger is a coward for staying ranged, a healer for healing.

Yea, every class is cowardly, except Gladiators. Just delete all other classes. Just face it, and fight like a man!
Ehm... Or face death and die like a man. Or something like that.
Maybe it's better to have some other classes too, including stealthy Assassins, and have a nice gameplay

Anyway, I also like an aggressive playstyle, and I'll surely make a Gladiator and a secondary character, being an Assassin. Watch out, I'm hittin u wif my waeponz!!!

I'm not playing an Assassin, though it's tempting. Any class with a skill called "Effeminate Explosion" has GOT to be fabulous!

Well... I've been an Assassin since ever.
In almost every game and mmorpg I've played (Ragnarok, Rohan, NVWN, etc etc)
Too bad there aren't katar (as for now) I would have enjoyed it a lot :P
I love the stealthiness, the deadliness and the quickness that are base traits of the Assassin class, just yea, too bad for the overpopulation.

I hope some form of stealth is a stigma ability. Not full tactical stealth, or the in combat stealth.. though I suppose without the high DPS combat abilities it wouldn't hurt too much to make that available. I say this because one of my favorite games in WoW was to grab a Druid in cat form and team with a rogue, both stealthed. The rogue sets it up, the druid is there to help stun lock. If things go wrong, the druid changes out cat form and heals or pops into bear form to take the brunt of the counter attack. I could see a similar system working with a chanter and a rogue. If there was a basic stealth on stigma, think of ganking while buffed with a filed medic on standby that can stun, slow movement, and GM buff in an emergency to help out. It'd be a lot of fun.

Well because assassin's need to be stealthy and have good strategy or else they become an easy kill, so i like the challenge of having to be good in order to be an assassin because nobody wants a prof where any nub can play it easily especially this one

If I wasn't already set on this class, this would have made me a believer. Well said.

because after playing wow with a hunter and competing all end game content and pvp at the time and watching hunters get ****ed over in pvp and rouges always seemed to have an easy ride, it seems like the logical option to choose. + i dont really like spell classes.

Assassin has awesome solo skills too. It's true we don't have the HP of a Gladiator or Templar but we finish our enemies off fast. Most of the mobs I fought that were around my level and I didn't require any bandages or potions unti after the fight was over. If bandages are needed mid fight, perfect dodge/bandage works well so you don't get interrupted ^_^
