I keep hearing assassins get great in endgame, hope it pans out cause there are so many classes in the mid levels better. In PvP, very much so. Lag ontop of our other problems doesn't help.

Different game, different, rules.

Rogue were hot stuff in WoW completly overpowered, in DAOC they were the same in 1vs1, they don't seem to be the hot stuff they were in wow and dAOC in AION.

If you want to POWN you need to pick an other class. The rogue class of AION is perhaps the CHAMAN of WoW ?

Get the Leatrix Latency Fix and unlock the Aion ports on your router. It's pretty much mandatory for any melee class.

what kind of pings are you people getting? i have zero problems with glitching.

although air fights are a pointless mess because the game tries to make you stop moving before pulling off a skill, so you you have to manually take control to keep moving while pulling off skills, except you NEED the auto-direction because any player with half a brain will not fly in a straight line. just retarded

Im not crying that we are underpowered, im simply stating that the games mechanics shouldnt be this faulty as it has been out in korea for over a year (i think). I have no problem with our damage or our stuns or anything, but i do have a problem when i am on top of a guy and i cant hit him at all. Yes i have speed scrolls and sprint on and hitting is still inconsistent. I dont want to be OP, i just want the game to work as any other MMO I have played works.

There is an assumption based on KR that Sin's are in fact great at the end game, i dont have any doubts that we can devastate pretty much every class (except Templars, in the same timeframe we do others) but seriously the melee mechanics are just pretty nyerked up.

Today every single player (Elyos) I found after my initial 3 carves just potted my poison and lifted into the air and kited me around till i was either dead or barely escaped. Every class out there knows that we are seriously gimped in air fights and they also know that the only thing they need to do is pretty much open their wings fly in a circle and kite us around.

The only thing EVEN possible to do in the air is Swift Chain all the other skills are pretty much pointless (except if you pick Rune Knife), the char just stops and nothing happens, even a Cleric can nuke us down with dots/cc and a cast now and then...and keep in mind im talking in the air, on the ground i have no issues with any class unless they are uberly geared or with a couple of levels over me.

Melee mechanics and that ANNOYING little "The target is out of range" when im basically on their side is plain stupid. There's a couple of things I do hate about the game and this talking about my specific class (Sin), why place an ingame radar give a class a stealth skill and then throw every single piece of crap to allow detection.

I mean seriously, everytime im grinding on the abyss and I see an Elyos passing by either I engage immediately (when i mean immediately is dish the stealth and go straight at him) which usually means open wings and go after it buffing the usual stuff or I stealth and go after him....but of course what happens is im usually detected first unless i spend 24/7 recasting Hide or moving the camera 360º everytime i kill a mob OR I get CCed and the enemy either keeps flying away or just kites me around.

The All-Seeing Eye II is another epic fail, according to the tooltip you are able to see through Advanced Stealth but is it just me or has anyone seen another Sin use Hide II and you cant see them even after using the skill?

I love my Sin and ill keep leveling it to 50 (42 atm) and hope it improves and they fix this, in the meantime ill avoid air combat.

I pretty much agree with everything you said here. I'm loving the assassin at the moment but arial combat is broken for all melee classes at the moment. I'm hoping they fix it somehow but i'm not holding my breath given the game has already been out for so long in Kaion,Caion. Looks like it will be extendible weapon time! haha

I agree with everything said here, in a rift i tear **** up (im lvl 34) but as soon as it goes in the air in the abyss the fight is over. If they do fix the melee mechanics in the game im very excited to play this class.
