One thing I noticed Meph is that I tend to always open with a backstab type ability. You don't pretty consistently. Even when you open with ambush. You carve immediately and then open into another stun which then you stab.
I am changing my tactics for that reason - i think it works nicely that way. Even from stealth you open with carves. In this case by the time the victim knows someone is carving them you stun them anyway. |

You should always have 3 runes on your target as a priority, even if you dont immediately plan to explode them, if you do not have 3 runes up, get them up by some means and do whatever from there. That way your options aren't limited if they get away from you somehow, or you still at least have pain rune available to stop them from kiting. Our explosions are somewhat ranged (like 10m or so) so it is worth it.
That and the beast chain doesn't do half bad damage for a speedy animation, as well as keeping them position locked. |

Enjoyed the video, Mephs.. I actually did the same thing yesterday... Just didn't make out with quite as many points as you did.
One thing that this video really shows is exactly how much of a difference gear makes. I've not had that much of a problem with any glads... but I'm fairly certain none of them have very nice gear... and he had what.. 3-4 levels on you also. SINSZ NEED BUFFS!!11! OBVIOUSLY A TERRIBLE BROKEN CLASS Oh... there close to the end, chasing the glad down.. that's one of my favorite things about rifting... boots + sprinting and a scroll... vroom vroom.Last edited by Tappin; 10-23-2009 at 01:13 PM.. |

Mephs, do you realize you have 1337 lifetime kills atm?
I'd screen shot that one =P __________________ The victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory. - Sun Tzu Kyzara - The Empyreans - Siege Officer |

The thing that Mephs showed was actually, that even without 2H-weapon and UD Stigma, Sin still had a very hard time taking down that Gladiator. __________________ We are born capable of greatness... Regardless, a 2h glad my level is hardly difficult in comparison to a higher level glad with a 2h. The differences a few levels makes are huge. Likewise, I can 100-0 (literally) a gladiator 3 levels below me before he even gets to move once. The amount of damage reduced by the stat scaling of 4 levels is incredible. Try hitting a ranger 4 levels on you, or stunning a cleric even 2 levels on you, its noticable. And even then, he also was chugging pots as much as I was, so I'd say he still had a monstrous advantage over me. Last edited by Mephs; 10-23-2009 at 04:27 PM.. |
