The 40+ gear is hard to amass due to the medals + the higher AP requirements. Now the gold 40 armor isn't too bad but when you look at the gold weapon(s) getting 300k AP at lv 30-40 range is nigh impossible until you either do dredgion regularly or run into more high rank players in the abyss. Between the amount of AP you lose and the amount of AP you gain there is a huge risk outside of doing only Dredgion for AP at a certain point.

I farmed up the blue 108k AP/18 medal sword just to get some ASPD and PC bonus and even that was getting hellish after I hit r2.

The blue lvl40 gear is what I'm gonna buy. I'll loose 3 mana slots and ~1% PC, but save ton of AP.

40 gear if you got the medals, but thats the thing: silver medals. You need a LOT for the gold gear, and a decent amount for blue pieces.

I haven't had much trouble getting silver medals at sieges but on my server we pretty much only defend so opportunities for medals aren't as common.

Are there any good repeatable quests to do on the Asmo side at lvl 30/31? Trying to farm to get the lvl 30 gloves, but I'm not even halfway there....

I am Elyos, but is it really that hard to do this:

Quests - Aion

The repeatables are meant for grinding AP... it feels like everyone thinks that 6 slot abyss gear should be handed to them...

I can't tell if you're trying to be nice and helpful, or make fun of me. I guess the days where people could ask a question and get a helpful answer (without an insult) are gone.

Well... did it help? If it didn't, please say so because that would be pretty bewildering.

If it did help, and you are perhaps insulted as well, then get over it.

Frankly, I feel if you are asking a question and you get a legit answer, you should not care if there's an "insult" coupled with it. Because, you shouldn't be insulted. I don't understand why people who fail to spend 5 minutes doing a search/filter and then ask for help expect it to come from Barney the dinosaur. At least, I didn't leave you with:

"Go search, aionarmory"

Don't be offended. We just like to point out that there are lots of posts asking for answers to simple questions. If you don't want to do the work, then don't complain when someone gives you help, however it may be served.

You've been helped, so don't complain. If you're that offended, you should perhaps not post silly questions.

I am lvl33 elyos 'sin (soon to be 34). Can anyone chime in on the real-time experience of grinding the lvl30 abyss gear vs molar/golden insignia items at lvl 37? I mainly ask whether it's faster to grind the lvl30 boots or the lvl37 molar boots as I have not been to kaidan yet (no idea how long it takes to grind molars).

Grinding the molars is faster, especially if you duo it with a chanter or cleric - only 200 elites, easily 1 per 2-3 minutes or 10 hours tops. But have you considered level 33 crafted boots?

In my server, they cost 490k, the molars cost 10k each. That's effectively 510k for a 2% speed gain, 4 levels later. I also make a lot more grinding certain specific mobs than I would selling molars.

And by level 37 I'd rather grind non-elites for the jewelry quest rewards (roughly 2000 mobs for all pieces, or 8-11 hours at my pace) than rely on someone else for Kaidan HQ.

Sadly killing guards is the best way to get ap's at that rank, normal mobs are not worth it and repetibles are not very fast way, so you end up with fort instances, killing players or killing guards, begin this last one the fast.

Anyway the sowrd worth it, maybe the best weapon you can get at level 40, there are other weapons with better atk. speed at that level but the +4.2% dmg to players make it awesome, just waiting to get level 43 as asmo to put Betoni's on primary and this toy in secondary.

While I do agree that the sword is awesome, it's simply not worth it to me. I always value something I've earned as what it goes for if I were to sell it. In this case, the 18 medals would be worth 2.7 mil as mentioned above. Then there's the 108k AP.

So instead I went ahead and bought a Expert Durable Adamantium Sword - Items - Aion for 5 mil. Better stats, but no PvP damage bonus. However, with that AP I would have earned, I could very easily get two orange rings for 3.2% PvP damage, or even, given how the AP diminishing returns work, a third accessory piece, such as earrings, for a total of 5.6%.

Now just 6 levels to go.

The Laigas jewelry can be done on non-elites?

Really? Can you clarify, becaue I thought it was elite grinding.
