Hello,

Everyone is telling me to ignore lvl 40 Gear and buy lvl 30 Gear (We are talking about Golds)

I also wish to know what you guys think of Devil's Sword - Items - Aion :S

Should I really ignore LVL 40 Abyss Gold and go for lvl 30s?

what is their reasoning?

im also curious why everyone gets multiple level 30s. the stats really suck by the time u get to 50 except for the slots.

Golden lvl 30 gloves and then focus on few blue lvl 40 items.

I agree with the above poster. Gold gloves, maybe a few lvl 30 blue jewelery pieces (depending on how fast you get the AP), or wait and grab blue lvl 40 jewlery. I'm a fan of getting the jewelery because the abyss jewels are levels beyond anything else, with the increased % dmg, as well as great stats (crit, hp, accuracy). lvl 40 jewelery probably wouldn't be replaced until several months after hitting 50.

I got a lvl 30 blue pauldrons. They're cheap (less than 20k AP) and they give me 5 slots which was way better than what I was using (which had 2 slots). I haven't regretted so far and now I'm getting more AP for gloves.

The lv 30 gold accessories give you PC bonuses and so do the rest of the 30 pieces, without needing medals. For armor sure it is actually really good sets and you get 6 sockets (VERY GOOD!) per piece + the PVP bonuses, so you can't go wrong.

A lv 34 sin on my server has farmed nearly the entire PVP set and he hits as hard as a mid 40s sin and also has the evasion of a higher level sin.

He might be talking about Icham, on Siel (Elyos). He's pretty freaking decked.. but the aion stats page seems either broken, or he took off all his gear..

Grinding out full (or alot of) level 30 gear before starting the level 50 grind is a good idea. Even if you're in the best Non-abyss gear at lvl 50, someone who does 20% more dmg than you and who takes 20% less is gonna rape you.

At the moment I have Crafted gold Gloves which gives +6% attack speed and mist mane boots :/

And I have 70k AP :/ I was thinking of buying elite lvl 30 set? but everyone is telling me go normal set ><

For jewerrly, there are some quest jewerlly which are better :S

I think the reasoning would be to save as much AP as possible for the Level 50 gear.

True, someone with the Level 40 set can potentially rape you, but what are the odds that everyone will go for that option, or even want that option, or even be able to afford it? Few.

Well, the main reason for decking yourself out in 30 gear is for the massive 40-50 grind, it helps to have crazy good gear.

Yeah spending money on the boots or gloves is a nice investment. Of course if you have crafted yellow gloves and Mist Mane boots there really isn't any reason to spend your AP.

Quest jewelery with camparable stats, yes. But no +PC damage. Also, don't scoff the accuracy bonus on those jewels, it's pretty valuable when you try to fight sins/rangers.

Anyway, if you're really worried about your pieces lasting you, grab a lvl 40 gold jewel piece. Costs silver medals, but you can buy them if you don't have them from forts already.

To those who say save your AP... I don't agree at all. 75% or more players are spending their AP as they get it, and thus if you try to hoard for lvl 50 without getting something in between, you're going to suffer.
