When I find people near my level most run because they think their getting ganked by someone higher. I find it great when someone stays and fights it out, whether I win or lose. I'm also a bit put off because sins don't have much of a role in mass pvp it seems because of our inherent 'squishiness'. I'm hoping that leveling my alchemy will change that so I have shock scrolls, etc.

I've actually seen a large ganking group come and rape the guards. I tried to kill a cleric that broke off from the group but it just didn't work out, he survived long enough for his backup to come and save him so it wasn't really worth the consumables I had to waste to break his CC and heal hp and mana. The fact that I was [and still am] undergeared probably sealed my fate.

I would say based on what WoW was when i started and now this World of CasualCraft, Aion is not for those members that enjoy free gear or gear getting sold to the by vendors.

Many of the CasualCraft players that followed me and a few others to Aion didn't even make it to 25 cause it was "to hard."

Aion is not for everyone, and regardless of what the suggestion forums say, I hope they stick with the Asian tradition of MMOs and not change a damn thing.

I got some fraps of me winning 1v2 against two 42+ glad/templar who jumped ME while I was rifting. Glad had Betoni's, it will be in the next video with more cheesy metal music.

Also, the opponents in my vids are usually my level, but mostly out level me +2 or +3 or sometimes even +4. Some of them get the jump on me and vice versa. You dont even have a clue.

Honestly I don't even know Mephs but you lost all credibility when you started talking as if gank squads were all you run into in the abyss and whatnot.

I mean I was like "wtf are we playing the same game?" Apparently not because I see a "gank squad" or whatever maybe every hour to hour and a half. Hell even if it was every 40 minutes it wouldnt matter because the rest of that time I get into to 1v1s frequently. Win or loose the pvp is there. It's not the games or anybody elses fault or problem that you can't seem to find it on your own.

I would say l2p but that doesnt apply, it's more like stop being lazy and look for pvp instead of waiting for it to come to you.

Lol or maybe you just have terrible luck on that front I dunno. Why don't you leave real pvp to us "morons" and move on. Man you should've known saying the rest of the player base was stupid for staying for pvp was going to backfire.

This is the type of player Aion caters to; the "I have no skill, but I think grinding gear and levels equates to skill so it doesn't bother me" player. Not a very good game :/

At level 28 and, since you're a melee class, the only PvP you'll find that'll suit you would be rifting. You don't have to deal with the flawed flying combat and you're more likely to run into people your level. Only problem is rifts that you can access aren't always up when you want them to be.

Oh well, better get to ginding mobs.

I had the pleasure of playing a round of dredgion last night, our organized group vs versus an organized elyos group.

Most definitely the most enjoyable experience I've ever had playing aion, and I already liked the game alot previous to this.

It was fairly onesided though, we ended up winning 2200~6000ish, although we were losing for about the first half.

Thanks for all your input everybody. I've decided to tough the game out until level 38 and if it doesn't get better call it quits. My worry is that, like some said, at higher levels more time is required to play and succeed. Well, College > Aion so if that proves true I'll just have to quit. Still got HoN and MW2 soon anyway.

cmon man take it easy, there will always be someone stronger than you, in any game, no matter how casual.

trick is to find weaker players than you, and gank'em from behind, jeez your an assassin, not some noble knight...

get a laptop and check those levels, let him attack mobs and loose 60& HP then glide by and swoosh, 5 sec he's history...

get a grip, be mean, be cruel, be stealthy, be ASSASSIN!

This is like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. Anybody with half a brain can kill people while they're fighting a mob, it has nothing to be with what class you are as you're almost guaranteed a kill if you just do that.

And LOL at finding weaker players, yeah getting 1-2 AP for killing people 15 levels below me is real rewarding and fun

For me the Assassin didn't really start taking off till level 42 and I got some ASpd gloves. Attack Speed is pretty much the best stat next to Crit and getting Crit capped with a dagger mh is so easy. Also make sure you are stacking Attack mana stones once you are at ~440 Crit rating... that will make a huge difference.

You may wanna grab attack speed scrolls if you're having a tough time with your assassin as that will show you the effect attack speed has on our ability to kill.

obviously you havn't understood what the game is about! Man.. it aint about Abyss Points! For me, beeing an Asmodian, the Elyios are traitors! They have no balls, and due to their stupidity my race has been living in darkness for hundreds of years!

Setting this apart, i understand what you mean, and i mean everything else then pwning Newbies. Im talking about finding equals, and if for some people with slow fingers that means fighting against enemies with 1-2 levels less, i think thats ok (in the end its balanced)

I wouldn't attack someone i know has the best armor in game, im not stupid. Ill go look for someone at my level. Im trying to say that everybody can play this game, there will always be hardcore players, and others will be less so.
