Well I still want to build my computer on my own but if I get any major problems I'll contact you mark and if necessary ship it to you

But Mark is right, for best peace of mind, you're "safer" sending stuff to a higher profile person, like Mark himself.

I'd also like to suggest TigerDirect.com-- their prices aren't as pretty as Newegg's, but they have a wider variety and great customer service. They have video FAQs and reviews on the product you're thinking about buying, too

TigerDirect charges sales tax in Florida, so I've never bought anything from them.

I live in Red Wing, MN, but I have friends in LaCrosse, which I think is... 3-4 hours from Milwaukee? So yeah, if you wanted to drive down, we could arrange a time. Red Wing is an extra 1.5 hours away so I could meet you in La Crosse.

First thing is to get a budget in mind and price out the parts. I or the other boards people can help you with that. I've built 6 systems and I've only used Intel and eVGA boards for them, so that's what I suggest if you want my help.

Let me know what you need help with and once you've got the parts, we can find a time to meet if you'd like to.

ah steal a processor here, bit of ram and graphics there.. put in crappy parts in place noone will ever know !!!!

But seriously, as mark said - it's mostly fun to put new pc's together. Especially when it's a new bit of kit you've not seen before

Like a few other people said, if you can't afford to ship to Mark or whatever and you live in the upper Eastern United States area (New Hampshire is where I'm located) I could probably help you out, too. =D But I'd go with Mark. He probably has a lot more experience with this than I do.
