gabbie your system is getting a bit dated. i'd expect low settings to be okay especially at your res. unfortunately there is no quick easy fix to your system. a better graphics card is about the only real help, but depending on what motherboard you have you might be stuck with an old AGP slot. even with best in slot of everything of that platform the best you could expect would be low-medium settings, although at that low of a resolution you could probably get medium to stick, but only with a top end card.
its hard seeing people with really decent rigs being told low-medium is the best they can expect, but aion will be a very demanding game to run with max settings. |

Aion will take some graphical power if you want high settings across the board. It'll still be pretty, you juts have to make sure not to go crazy on AA/AF....But in regards to Gabbie's system, yea...Even if she gets a high end card, she'll bottleneck...She needs a new cpu as well....Which is difficult considering her system is probably a older 775 board =(.

Do you need to buy a operating system Melanie?....Because the system I linked in the last page for you would be a much better system then the one you had...
https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion...hListTitle=Mel it's at 550 now without tax/shipping. But you didn't list a power supply or case in your previous part list...Do you already have those?..Do you needa os?...Cause sorry to say, the parts you had before were decent, but this setup would blow it away alone just for the fact that the graphics card is worlds above... Btw, with your previous setup, low/medium settings depending on your resolution...

It's right...I just looked at her previous parts and thought 500 dollar budget even though it wasn't stated what the budget really was. So I put together a small list, 466.94 including tax and shipping. But yea, need to know if a case/power supply is needed for that 600 dollar budget...and an OS..
Melanie, if you can toss that by..It would help...Sorry to say though, this system although similar in cpu, would blow the other one away in terms of gpu performance. The 8600GT is quite a old card, it also was heavily scrutinized on launch since the 8600Gt/GTS mid range solutions didn't offer the right performance for the money. I HEAVILY suggest you take a look at the list I posted...and consider it... do you need a OS? Case? Power Supply? you didn't mention if you did.

His computer will do just fine on low setttings even on crysis if he gets a Geforce 7600 series or coreponding ATI card.
Which made me wonder do your moderboard have a AGP or a PCI-e slot for the vid card? If u don't know how old is the board? for thoose that's looking for a totaly new computer then theese are the fastest for cost today: cpu: intel core duo 8400 "wolfdale" video card: Geforce 8800GT moderboard: intel x38 or p35(older and cheaper version of x38) chipset memory: 2x2GB/800Mhz sticks *edit* thumb rule to consider if your computer runs Far cry on avange settings Aion shouldn't be a problem.
