expected price drop when cards come out?

Hey guys,

I know that kal said ati and nvidia are coming out with new cards in like june/july. I'm planning on buying a 8800gt 512mb but i'm wondering if I should wait for say a price drop. Like when the new cards come out can I expect a say $20 price drop and also should I still wait when I can get one at Tigerdirect for 179.99 which comes to roughly 200 after tax? XFX GeForce 8800 GT Video Card - Alpha Dog Edition, FREE Company of Heroes PC Game, 512MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, HDCP, Video Card PVT88PYDF4 in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
It's the best deal on a 8800gt512 mb i've seen so far. No mail in rebate I can drive there and atm they also have a free shipping thing going on. I'm just wondering how the price of the card will fluctuate with the new cards and if its worth the wait. I dont know what the expected prices of the new cards are gonna be so yeah. Any opinions?

The odds are probably good that the price will drop. If you don't need a new card now just wait. Prices won't rise so what's the harm if you don't need to upgrade yet. :P

wait of u can. that ur best bet. the economey suks right now so ppl will stop buying high priced items, so stuff will drop like crazy soon.
