Assuming you play in front of your PC, viewing angles shouldn't bother you a lot, considering that you play FPS, my recommendation would be the LG L226WTY-BF.
That monitor has 2MS of response and a high contrast for a modest budget, probably one of the best gaming monitors. I own a LG also, a LG L246WP-BN though Ive chosen that one cause of the great viewing angles and the little bleeding (I really need good quality of image angles when designing). The monitor is excelent overaly, no dead pixels and the contrast is impressive. The one I recommended is about the same, but better for FPS's, a bit smaller, a lot cheaper, and with a bit worse viewing angles. |

I will also be buying a new monitor soon...are there any noticable differences between a LG 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (L226WTQ-SF) and a LG 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (W2252TQ)
Reason I ask is because they are both priced the same and seem to have the same (or close to it specs), but the second one looks a lot nicer/would match my room/desk better ...are there any major differences, is one better for gaming? |

I have a samsung 2232bw (22-inch widescreen) and I'm very happy with it for gaming. Although some people might not like the glossy finish and you can't mount this monitor onto a wall.
The 226BW is pretty much the same monitor but not glossy black and you can mount it. |

Great price good quality.
I have 2 of theseand I am thouroughly impressed. If you would've told me 5 years ago I would have Acer monitors I would've laughed in your face. But for the price vs performance these babies are very hard to beat. I play FPS, RTS you name it and this can handle it.
