I have finally brought Crysis to its knees

GTX 280 runs everything on ultra high 8x AA etc etc no problem..

Only downside is that the card runs HOT, 70C in some cases, which I'm sure will be fixed in later drivers.

Benchmarks don't mean anything to me when all I know is it runs perfect with no glitches/no lag.

yeah Max graphics isnt that important for me. If i can play a game and it looks ok-good. dont wanna pay out the *** for Max graphics

The dard is designed to run up to 90C so I wouldn't worry. And just think you can fry an egg with it.

Howl isn't taking the hot plate function into account with the price, so its just too much money.

Actually I think the card max temp is 105 so yer good. Also I run crysis at 1900x1280 with a 8800 GTX at full everything 60fps NP....great grafx on that game, idk about the multiplayer. ~phadyd

60fps on low-medium at best, definitely never max on a mere GTX.
My 8800GTS (which basically matches the GTX for performance) and then add on the extra 24% overclock I have on it - I get ~34fps at 1680x1050 on high with some max
