Get a 780i SLI board or better like the 790i, great boards easy to OC toms hardware would have everything you need to step by step you through it. They are built for over clocking, unlinked memory! I am in love. also I would say get a e6600 intel, great dual core for over clocking if you want a quad core go with a Q9450 also a great for overclocking. Dont go liquid cooling! I had a bad feeling about that one... good thing i was able to MS all those parts. A $60 cooling unit from thermaltake should give you enough to keep you cool. dont go ober 65 degrees, around 55 under load is about as high as i would go. Go on toms hardware and look up OVERCLOCKING THE 680i, should answer all your questions. ~ phadyd
