Aionsource BetaBoards

Hey guys, it has come to our attention that NCSoft's betaboards are suffering from a case of the hiccups causing page errors, forced logouts, posting errors, etc etc.

As a major fansite for Aion we feel obligated to assist not only NCSoft but our users, as such we're pleased to announce the Aionsource BetaBoards - a subforum dedicated solely to the reporting of bugs/errors within Aion:The Tower of Eternity during it's beta testing phases.

Please note that this forum is not for in-game drama or discussion regarding what goes on in the beta realms, it's sole purpose is to facilitate the posting of in-game bugs and errors. All posts within this forum will be passed on to NCSoft's development team.

A Few issues I noticed

The first issue that was a big one for me was that i'd start to attack a creature only to have the kill stolen by another player. The same thing would happen w/ looting. I believe that the kill and loot should go to the player that initiated the action on that particular enemy. (Please note though that i was going solo most of the time.) But I believe that even in group play this may become an issue. I guess what i'm trying to suggest is either put enough resources in the game to make it fair for all concerned or lock the kill and loot to the solo or group that initiated the attack first.
Another issue is that i think that the scout class should be able to travel from place to place faster than the other classes but it doesn't. It seems to move just as slow as the warrior. A few places in Altgard when you land your feet will disappear in supposed solid surfaces.
That's all I can remember for now. I will post more as I remember them.

Ah GJ on thenew betaforum. I couldn't give any feedback on the last beta, and I did notice a couple of minor bugs (like you are taking damage in water when clearly I was on land doing a bit of climbing)

This explains why some peeps got upset when I saw them close to death and stopped to help them. But I only hit the mob a few times to even out the health then moved on....

just 1 question. why with so much good overall graphic, a portrait and picture of your char is so lame? (resolution was approximately 1900 x 1200, all other bars - on "very high")

Same here (1920x1200) ... in character screen the avatar is really pixelated ... so is the icon next to health bar

When gathering, if you click on the node right after you gathered some, the progress will fail. It seems to have to wait few seconds before clicking again ... usually that results in node being stolen. Is that intended?

PLEASE SUGGEST A SKILL BAR LOCK!!
I have tried several mice and a coupleof my favorites have a sticky click . This results in frequently changing my skill setup .
Example The slightest movement copies skill 3 onto the skill 2 box. Every hour or so I would find some skill missing.
This is of course why skill bar locks are so popular in games and Aion doesnt have this that I can find

PLEASE SUGEST A MOUSE 2 BUTTON LOCK FOR EX LIKE IN WOW OR WAR!!!!!!!!!


I cant find an option to LOCK my mouse 2 button .This thing is the worst thing i ever see in aion.WTH we dont have a lock for mouse 2 becouse i wana move free and not to press and keep pressing the mouse 2 every time i wana turn around.Devs need to make a way like in War or wow to lock mouse 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What i want is just to select my target with a defined key and then use only the keyboard keys to atack and not the mouse,so i need to have my mouse lock,to alowed me to turn around and move/look.Usually this can be made with an option to lock the mouse 2 free look or something and when u need to talk or use mouse 2 u can use it too.
Atm i even dont have an option to bind my mouse 2 button ?I cant even see how to lock it or change it and this is the most stupid thing i ever see in ammo game and i wont see me fight in pvp with no option to lock my mouse 2.I dunno ,i pay for the game preorder but i dont think im gona play more than 1 month,becouse i cant control my character how i want and this is sucking as-s...

I'm still getting the problem when I open the client it shuts off my battery backup and when I log off it gets restored. It never did that till the last beta. Anyone else having that issue?

What tickles me funny is that we are given more content but we have to experience the same content over and over by starting new toons at each testing. Would it be possible to leave our toons? that way we could get farther and test more stuff and bring more feedback to this site ^_^

In the following example, the option for displaying distance to target is selected and on. When a target is hovered over with the mouse, the distance to target is displayed in the info window in the bottom-right corner. If the distance is 10m or greater another line of text is added to the window; however, the window size does not change so you get to see only half of the two lines giving you range info. I'm sure this bug has been fixed in 1.5, but I haven't played NA 1.5 seeing as it's not out yet so the verdict is still in the air.

This may be a lag issue, I don't know, but sometimes when I would go to talk to an NPC or gather a node my character would seemingly teleport back either out of range or talk/gather at a great distance when I should be right next to the object I'm interacting with.

These were the 2 most noticable things in my time with CB5 and CB6. If I notice anything in the NA release I'll be sure to report it to Aion.
