Fix for Error-0 Gameguard Error

Reference this blog, the repair works for real. I just took the gameguard.des file from my chinese client and copied it to the same location in the US beta folder.

What about us Vista 32 bit users? I just pre ordered the C.E. Aion today and it came with a beta code from gamestop. Sadly It took hours to download and install everything needed to play the game. Even with all the download time I still get the blue screen. I have searched for the fix's and all i seem to find is renaming the gameguard.des file to gameguard.old and pasting the new gameguard.des file in the folder. Still dont work, but what I have found is that it seems that anyone running the 32 bit version of vista cant run the beta either. Is there a fix for vista 32 bit users? If so please inform me. I'm very eager to play the beta!

My wife and I had windows 7 32bit installed last night and the game would not work at all, we did get the Error: 0 thing and the fix for that got around it but went bluescreen on us. Sooo, I re-installed vista ultimate on both computers and re-downloaded the client and the game updated and started without any problems at all.

I will reinstall my windows and see what happens from there i just want to get it working for this weekend so i can play the beta. ill let you know if it works. TYVM

Uploaded the fix for Window 7 (and possibly other Error: 0 issues) on my personal webspace. Just replace the GameGuard.des in <install dir>/bin32/ with this updated one.

Get updated GameGuard.des here! Might only work on x64 systems. Unsure. It works in Win 7 x64 Build 7201 for me atleast.

So basically right now all Vista and Windows 7 32 bit users are screwed. I heard that Gameguard released a newer version that fixed this issue and that games using the newer version are working fine for 32 bit users, but I don't think Aion has been updated with the new version.

By the way, you're getting the BSoD because you're putting a file intended for 64 bit on a 32 bit computer, and clearly those two are not compatible. If someone could come up with a working .des file for 32 bit then the problem could potentially be solved. Until then we're at the mercy of NCSoft, which scares me.

Yeah, i also have the same issue. I'm gonna try to disable all background applications this afternoon and activating them 1 by 1 to find out what's causing the BSoD. Will probably take me around 25 restarts or so to find out.

I used to get an error like that. Making all my programs run as administrator solved some of the problems for me.

Vista 32 bit should work perfectly fine. If it isnt, its not because of gameguard. Two of the computers sitting next to me are Vista 32 and both play Aion perfectly well.

Windows 7 however is the one that is up a creek without a paddle. (32 bit wise)

There is a update available for it, according to INCA.. you just need to find a game that has updated their version of GG to support Win7 32 bit. When I did a search last week I coudnt find one, so good luck

However, there is another way.... if you really want to play, but it is against the rules. Your all smart google searchers arentcha? Think Fire, yet spelled differently.

By the way, Phantasy Star Universe has updated their GG client and it's working with 32 bit users. All we need I suppose is someone with the game (it's P2P and you can't download the client legally) to upload their GG files for everyone else.
