Today I awoke with the thought "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer". A saying we've all heard many, many times. I always knew the meaning behind it and never thought twice about it until recently.

My question is this. How do you practice this old adage if you're unsure as to which are your friends and which are your enemies? I find that the line between the two lately to be very blurred. It's disturbing on more than one level.
