KillGuides Aion Guide Review.

Posted 10-18-2009 at 02:57 PM by Jesterhead85

The presentation of the guide is alright. They took time to put together a nice background, table of contents, format...

But there are NO MAPS or charts of any kind to really give you any in-depth HELPFUL information. AND they still have separate guides for each class for there 29.99 dollar price.

Now, your standard strategy guide you buy, say from Prima is put together with the topic information, and often maps charts pertaining to the topic right? Not in the KillerGuides case.

Their leveling guide is as simple as " at level 20, go to Eltnen and complete the quests there." I felt insulted at this point... The only thing I could think of was "DUH!"

There's no explanation of the quests, mobs pertaining to them or a recommended plan of action to prioritize what quests and when to do them in order to timely level up your character.

The information in the guide is easily assumable, and if nothing else can be found at your logical gaming sites like GameFaqs. After that I knew i blew my money after reading on. The guide gives no real life-altering strategy or direction to really add to your gaming experience. On a 1 to 5 rating scheme of it all... I seriously give it a ONE.

If you want to find a REAL and FREE not to mention community driven guide to AION I recommend starting here: http://www.aionsource.com/forum/gene...ides-list.html

Great to know your thoughts on this, I always see links to this guide and wonder what might be inside but won't part with my cash.
As you say there are plenty of guides out there for free that are great and aionarmory and aiondatabase are good for most things. Wikis and what nots will soon out do silly pay guides like the killer guides hopefully.
