MORPHINE! and other anecdotes
Posted 09-16-2008 at 09:05 PM by [PhiberOpticks]
Ugh, senior year of high school is going alright, cept for the fact that my schedule is pretty much packed till the end of football season.
I've dislocated two toes (and popped them back in), pretty much blown out my knees and my spine feels like ****. Aside from that, football pretty much turns me into a total misanthrope.
I get home at 7:30 every night after playing as a lineman. Don't care what anyone tells you, the line is the most difficult spot to play.
My schedule at school is easy and I even get to leave at 1:45, cuz my coach fixed my schedule so that I don't have a last period.
And my sister leaves for college in Japan in less than three weeks. I temporarily quit my job for football, but it seems that I'm going to have to take back some hours once she leaves. So I have to work Saturdays and Sundays. My weekly football games end promptly at 3:30 for the most part, which leaves just enough time to take a quick shower and go to work and be a waiter for 8 hours (legally, I only get paid for that much, but I have to stay to clean up for at least another hour, especially considering that there are always those customers who just don't go the **** home).
By the way, I signed up for a county-wide rugby team for the spring. Despite the fact that football makes me very sore, one thing I love about it is the violence, and that's exactly what rugby gives me.
