Emote Content
Posted 04-02-2008 at 12:31 AM by [PhiberOpticks]
Here is the information for the Emote Content suggestion.
Keep in mind that when the poll comes around, by voting for this, you will not necessarily have to like all parts of this suggestion. When the cycle winner thread is created, you can refute an aspect of it if you'd like.

From here, you options are: <Decline> <Up High> <Down Low> <Too Slow> and depending on which you click, you get a different animation. Decline does nothing. You don't want to be bothered with such things. The rest are self explanatory I think, but upon acceptance, the two toons will begin an actual cooperative animation for the emote.
The possibilities with this are endless and if you hate my idea you can stop reading here, but I'll give some more:
Kiss:
"Bob is coming in for a kiss!"
<Decline> <Disgust> <Cheek> <Lips>
Disgust would be an eww, pull away, gag, something funny that shows you REALLY don't want to kiss Bob.
Cheek allows for a peck on the cheek.
Lips, well.. you get it.
Handshake:
"Mike wants to shake your hand."
<Decline> <Traditional> <Fancy> <Pull Away>
Traditional is a firm handshake
Fancy is more of a "secret" or "street" handshake kind of thing where you do a flourish of things.
Pull away is the old "move your hand to fix your hair" move.
If you support my idea, go ahead and nominate it. If you've got an idea for one of these emotes, post it in your nomination so people get a better idea of the possibilities.

Suggestions would be,
Barrel Roll
Swan Dive (arms extended, chest out)
Corkscrew
Ariels
Poses (like what was added to CoX, maybe)
Etc.
The game seems to have a good deal of emotes for the ground, but breaking the norm while flying would definitely add to the fun factor of being in the air.

I do too. It's a personal favorite of mine and that's not just because I originally sponsored the idea.
Now that I think about it, the co-op emotes reminds me of Mass Effect. I haven't played the game but a noteworthy thing about it was the dynamic dialogue, where you could specify your reactions to other characters.Posted 04-02-2008 at 11:59 PM by [PhiberOpticks]
