Personal Note: NJSP

I'm absolutely ecstatic over finding out that I have been accepted into the New Jersey Scholars Program. I will be one of 39 students throughout the state to do research on Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh for 5 weeks.

The main reason why this is so big for me is because of my heritage. My grandfather was a Pakistani scholar who wrote theories on the reconstruction of Islamic law and was close with former president Bhutto. Obviously, I am of Pakistani descent. Aside from that, it's a pretty prestigious thing to put on my transcripts for college.
