Hi there! A quick introduction; name is, as you can see, Seedcake. I'm a serial gamer. I began playing games in the Pong era (that's the late 1970s for you young'uns) and I haven't stopped since. I suppose it's a character flaw, but a damn fun one!
Naturally, this blog will be all about Aion and my experiences, for good or ill, within it. I enjoy writing about games and since I've been having fun playing in the world of Atreia, what better place to write about Aion than here?
Thanks to any and all who take the time to read my ramblings.
Quite sincerely,
-- Seedcake

So, Aion. I didn't expect to like it; I'm fairly skeptical of Korean MMOs, having tried a few but finding their graphics too bland, their storylines too shallow (or nonexistent!) and, yes, too grindy for my tastes. Aion, though, I had to try since NCSoft really did right by me with City of Heroes/Villains. Of course, the flashy battle visuals and the wings were also a big draw.
It's fair to say that I've been completely absorbed by Aion since open beta. It's not a perfect game by any means, and it is quite formula in many respects, but it shines as a whole brightly enough to keep me in Atreia exclusively, even as the Brewfest event at that Other MMO We All Know About is in full swing (I know I ought to be racing rams around and around, but I just don't care! :O ).
I have much more to say on the topic of Aion - some praise, some constructive criticism, some ranting, but it must wait 'til later. Atreia calls!
