And it's only Tuesday....

What an interesting last few days it's been...

Returned to Aionsource after a leave of absence with all the nsfw pics that cropped up a while back. considering I read mostly from work, ya...no bueno.

I came back, like the day all the info on NA Aion is released: and Mark is gone, got my CE of Aion pre-ordered, and got a key that should work for the upcoming beta event (squeee). Now I can launch Aion, see the login screen, listen to the music, play with the settings and then have it close when I try to log in due to no server. But, after years it's become a solid thing and I can see the happy little icon on my desktop.

So this week is dragging but then I remember that during E3 this week, SE is supposed to release info on Rapture. They release a vid, then the official site is up...quickly I'm frantically digging for info. It's not a new IP, but has some sort of ties to FFXI...ok, I don't know how I feel about it but I'll cross that bridge later. We have all the old races shown, so that's good. While I don't care about galka; mithra love is forever. After many, many years it would seem SE's been working on a new FF Online game and it's got promise.

I briefly worry about the whole PS3 thing after PS2 limitations affecting the PC version of FFXI and then it hits me. Bard, the only class I've ever loved...genkai, missions, cut scenes, AF, skill chains, crafting that is hard yet rewarding, fun times with linkshells, HNMs, BCNMs, D2ing bad party members, avatars, subjobs, one character name per player, and all the wonderful music I still listen to. Basically, all the things that have been missing from other MMOs that I dearly miss. Once this game is released, my social life is gonna take a pretty decent hit. But I'm a gamer, it's what I like to do. And, I'm perfectly ok with this.
