I'm getting sick and tired of Open Beta being restricted Open Beta. I don't care if it's Fileplanet Only, Pre-orders, or whatever; but it seems that more and more devs are restricting it. I'm sorry, but the term Open Beta means just that, the unrestricted, OPEN phase of beta. If you're not gonna have it, just name it, oh I don't know...CLOSED beta. Too many games need the stress testing from a real OB and come launch, it's painfully obvious they either didn't test the hardware/login servers...

So I've been playing in the Warhammer closed beta for a little bit now and I have to admit, it doesn't suck. Granted, it's not gonna be a 'main' game for me, but for now, I do enjoy it (my roommate too, tho he's addicted). I still have issues with the cuts they made and it's confirmed why it was really done; to be Lich King out of the gate. So these forums (the whole site really) is totally a double-edged sword. It's got great people, lots of info, and is really well put together...however, that's also a problem. My current job tends to get a little boring and i do get quite a bit of free time, in small chunks. Forums and blogs are great places to be.
