Enchanter Solo Ability

This question is directed toward anyone who has gotten an Chanter past 25. How well do they solo (killing speed, downtime, survivability, etc.) and how would you rank them compared to the other 7 classes at soloing efficiency? (1 being best)

You must be mistaken, there is no Enchanter class in this game.

Yeah, it's called the "Chanter" ... no En there. And as far as soloing, they would probably be #2 behind Spiritmaster- but it's a really tight race. Chanters still have no downtime whatsoever- this is even more true with a few mp potions and the mp regen per hit stigma. Their survivability is probably the best in the game, since they have the best mana efficiency. The only reason why they fall short of Spiritmaster, is that while they do kill reasonably fast, it does not really compare to the Spiritmaster. Their pets are a huge asset in solo, and therefor take no damage and don't have to worry about kiting like rangers and sorc do.

No, that would be the cleric. Even if you would go as far as stack hp and use mace and shield with block stones. Clerics mana regen skill is also very powerful.

However, as mentioned with mp pots I have no downtime whatsoever at lvl 30 killing oranges (I can do reds but I find them not efficient enough to kill)

Nvm, seeing an friend of mine playing at the C/Aion. He says that playing Chanter is like going out on a neverending trip, you always got what you need when you need it! And if someone tries to stop you, you hit them with your stick!

Thank you for the replies. I apologize with the improper title of "Enchanter", I guess I had an EQ2 relapse for a second!

How would you compare the CHANTER dps vs. the 2 tank classes?

Chanters have better damage than a Templar but less then a Gladiator.

I hear this statement quite often, but everything I've seen indicates that even templar dps is above ours.

Granted, my very limited knowledge is based upon what I've seen in the red vs. blue pvp tournament videos, so take it with a grain of salt. I also took a moment to peruse the Templar spell list on the armory, and comparing the dmg on their abilities to ours and after having watched atleast 20 of those video and looking specifically for the dmg being done by both templars and chanters, I can only saw that we dont even compare.

I'm just looking at floaty numbers in the video's though, so maybe there's something inherent in our chains that isnt immediately noticeable.

Please remember that most videos are not v1.5. I believe chanter DPS was upped in v1.5.

I was considering that as well, but as 1.5 hasnt been released anywhere, we still dont know how we'll compare to other classes or what improvements the other classes might receive.

Unless someone who plays on the test server can shed some light...

On that note, are they upping chanter dmg or just the crit rating on staves. I don't recall hearing anything of the former.

mabey it was the crit rating. But that would up DMG over all so..

I know that at lvl 20, on NA Beta last weekend, I would do more dmg than a Templar. At least I would kill the same mob faster. We tested it by him having all store bought equipment and me having all store bought equipment and no mana stones. Perhaps not very accurate, but that was the result.

Oh and the Templar tried sword and board and great sword.
