I think this class suites leaders aswell. Your prime role is to make sure yourself / team are fully buffed then you are support heal/dps. The amount of time on the buffs should give a player time to take control of any situtation.

I've actually been surprised by the number of people that want to play Chanter as their main, I honestly thought that Chanters were going to be hard to come by. It was a pleasant surprise to see other people interested in this class also

um well from the poll in general dissucssion section. Chanters are bottom with around 10% of the votes.

I'm not too sure which I'll be until beta rolls around (I keep changing my mind between the two!). I will most likely start with Chanter first to see if they impress me with their assortment of buffs and see how their dmg/healing abilities are. I like the idea of having party heals though like Cleric... Hmm, choices.

Just make both,I know I will . It stands to reason clerics will be the most powerful healers ( unless NCsoft doesn't design the class right ) but I think chanters will by far be the best buffers .

I never - in any MMO- just level one character but several at same time . When you want to beat the c**p out of everything you load up your assasin and when you feeel like being supportive you play with your cleric/chanter

I like the idea of chanters being somewhat similar to WoW-druids but Blizzard designed druids so they were good at everything but great at nothing. Don't want that for chanters : let them be really great at buffing and still be able to do some damage so you can at the very least level the class without having to rely on others for everything ( same applies to clerics, hope you are not forced to group for even the earliest quests )

That's what I mean, I didn't really expect 10% of the people that have voted to be interested in Chanters. Even if Chanters stay at the bottom till the end of time, 10% of all the people we have in Aionsource is not a bad number and way more than I expected. I honestly thought that Chanters would make up 5% of the population at a maximum, however I've been pleasantly surprised

ah yea i guess i see your point, 10% from 8 classes is pretty close to an even mark.

Would be nice to see an offical class % each week.

Well what I am thinking is that a lot of people are going to want a chanter in thier group but not going to want to roll one, so in the end i hope there is a bit of a lack of chanters so I will always get a group

I decided to play Chanters ever since i first heard of Aion. I always enjoy the hybrids/support classes.

I don't think you'll have much to worry about. Healers and tanks are always in demand and you add to that our buffing abilities and you pretty much have secured yourself a spot in any group.

lol guyz im torn between chanter, templar, spiritmaster. Personally i believe chanter will play like WoW's shaman. So it cud b a heavy dpser as the description says . If u specialize in damage, Or a nice healer like mayb a druid with heal over time spells and idk wat else they cud specialize in mayb survival and uber buffs. Its going to b a grt class i think.

This class kind of reminds me of the Shaman class in WoW and the Paragon class in Guild Wars: Nightfall, Paragon more so. I'm so rolling one!
