The reason I'd like more synergy with sorc's specifically is because my buddy is pretty set on rolling a sorc and I like chanters. It just seems odd there is no benefit to the sorc's with a chanter in the group buff wise. |

I think Chanters should get some magic-related buffs, that way all parties will look forward to them joining (for more reasons than minor healing) Lots of time people farm with all magic classes so they can quickly kill anything before it even reaches the group. Chanters could act as an unofficial tank for the group, buff the parties damage, and still be considered a mage to everyone.

just knowing NCSoft it will probably be 1 aura per chanter so 2 chanters per party most likely. when traveling use speed aura in a DD party use attack and crit aura in nuker party use mane and hp regen. they look like a decently well balanced class some mid-low ranged dps and debuffs like stun and slow. some decent damage mele moves with higher mana costs some nice buffs and auras. 2 chanters 1 tank and soem dps either magic or physical you could have some kickass power.

This may sound like a dumb question but dont give me beef about it i dont play WoW or anything.
Does a Chanter's aura effect everyone in the radius including the chanter themselves or everyone but the chanter?? they can buff themselves right>? ![]() Last edited by kiwi; 05-23-2008 at 03:44 AM.. |

In WoW the paladin's buffs also affected themselves also, I can only assume (and hope) the same for Aion. It would be really silly for solo play if we couldn't get our own Aura effects.

with having to do with auras, in L2 a SwordMuse's songs sometimes was defense against a specific dmg type i.e. dark magic def. or water dmg, ect. So you can break out w/e aura for what ever is needed, in pve and PvP.

In WoW Pally aura was a group buff so if you are in a raid if the Pally is not in your group you dont get there aura and 2 of the same auras dont not stack. Pallys Blessings are per class type. With them saying 1 aura i per chanter it might run like a WoW pally

I hope that people won't have Bots, that buffs them ans Chanters will be useless.
Maybe it's the first game, where the buffclass is difficult to play.^^ __________________ ![]() I'm Flagros - #aion, #aion-welten @ Quakenet |

Ok, now this is a topic I've been searching for
I am confused a bit myself, since in the beta I could easily turn on 2 mantras at the same time (got only to lvl 13) and I wanted to ask a question regarding that. So are you able to have multiple mantras after all? As I said - I am a bit confused myself, because my in game experience tells me something different, unless ofc I have missed out something ![]() |

Alright I'm a bit confused here. I'm hearing the terms "Buffs," "Mantras," and "Auras" being thrown around, and it seems I haven't gotten the meaning of all these sorted out?
Buff = like Blessing of Health/Protection, no limit to how many there can be, they have a time limit, can be used on anyone in or outside party Mantra = A buff a Chanter uses that automatically works on party members in range, maximum of three with one Chanter, four with two Aura = I'm not sure? Is it like a Mantra but better and you're only allowed to use one, per Chanter? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. >_< EDIT: Oops, did I just necro a thread? Lol... I saw this on the front page or something at the bottom and clicked it and just decided to post since I was confused. Sorry about that. I didn't even notice the date. __________________ ![]() |
