Chanter Skills "buffs" and "Auras"
Ok just a few quick questions about the chanter buffs and auras
can you use as many buffs on the target? can you use as many auras on a target? what are the limits ? Are the auras like Sword Singer/ Blade Dancer buffs? and the regular buffs like prophet/warcryer buffs ?? Please exaplain any limitations to the buffs that can be casted on friendly targets? Are there any "Dispel" skills in the game ????? Whats the maximum ammount of buffs one can have at 1 time? |

If you check out the Wiki, there's a list of CB1 skills lv1-40.
Here you go! An example of one of these auras: Aura of the Victor (Rank.1) -(Aura)Increases the attack of party members within 10 meters. __________________ rrr! |

As much as I hate to compare it to WoW with all the recent "WoW is great. Aion should be more like it" threads, these auras may end up being used similar to the auras of Hunters (nature resist), Paladins (various auras), & Warlocks (blood pact) in raids; Different aura for different groups and situations. I don't remember if Paladin auras stacked when you had 2+ in a group though.
Basically, you'll just have to be smart enough to know when to use which. There's plenty to pick from and group make up should be enough to help you decide. Plus it's only CB2 - who is to say NCSoft wont switch it up come CB3, OB, or Retail? -Attack (Speed? Melee, ranged, both?) -Basic resistance -Crit chance -Evasion -Hit rate -HP regen & damage taken reduced -MP regen -Run speed __________________ rrr! Sooo... I got it wrong then. I always thought that "aura" is a regular buff with a slight difference - that it applies to all party members within 10m radius.
That implied that a chanter could cast as many auras as he could (mana wise) or as many the target could recive (buff-slot wise). In that case the appeal of chanter goes down for me quite a bit... I know that the skill tables for both classes aren't 100% correct in the Wiki, but those two classes start to look too much alike (maybe higher lvl buffs are what makes the difference...) I'm not sure, but it can mean that: 1 target = 1 aura no matter how many chanters you have in party. |

the single aura is a "bonus buff" in my opinion. you have the castable buffs, and then an aura you can use. you select your aura depending on what you role in the group is going to be. if you'll be up with the melee guys damaging enemies you'll want some kind of melee aura, be it increased damage, reduced damage taken, etc etc. if you're going to be back healing and standing near the mages/rangers you'll want something that increases magic damage, lowers mana use, increases mana regen, spell crit chance, etc etc.
i don't see it as limiting, i see it as giving you just one more versatile way to buff close-by party members. __________________ Live and die with grace. |

We still do not know the full potential. The mages-auras may be introduced on higher lvls (maybe due to the fact, that mages are, as they are, powerfull enough without special buffs).
But I'm still not sure about one thing - is it "one aura per party (number of chanters in party disregarded)", or "one CHANTER - one aura"? |
