...because I found that my playstyle fits well with hybrid classes, I like being useful,Chanters are not overly squishy, seem more involved then just sit back buff and watch everyone else kill stuff, they'll cool looking (IMO).

Ever played a guild wars paragon specced for party support? One of my all-time favorite roles, hands down. And even so, their DPS was nothing to sneeze at either. I'm looking for something similar here. Make the group as a whole much stronger by being there, and add enough damage to help out as well.

I'm really hoping Chanter gives the the same experience.

Well my main will be assassin but my alt will be chanter. One of the largest reasons I chose chanter was the implementation of cumulative mantras (buffs). It is known that characters with two chanters in the party are going to be able to have no more than 4 mantras active at one time (i.e. 2 speed buffs, 1 strength buff, 1 accuracy buff or whatever combos works best). I predict that the most succesful parties won't need a cleric at all and could rely on two skilled chanters to heal everyone while simultaniously keeping everyone buffed.

In City of Heroes, I loved playing non-Empathy Defenders. People would get all nervous that we had no "healer." I'd tell them, "Trust me; we'll be fine." Half an hour later, they'd be all, "This is the best group I've ever been in!"

I know it wasn't a fluke because it happened almost every time, no exaggeration.

That's why I want to play Chanter. It's fun to impress people when they are mindless "trinity" zombies and you show them another way.

I'm going chanter simply because in my group of friends, there is no dedicated "healer job" I also like using a Bo staff, this job fit the bill ^^

I'm picking chanter because I want to do PvP !
In PvE, every classes can play without buffs but in PvP, the winners are the ones with a good buffer. If the team you play against have a Chanter too, the choice of the Aura and the way the Chanter play could make the difference.
