This will probably never happen, but what do you think of the idea of a chanter being more of a support style char, give it a skill to heal MP sacrificing his own (would be inneficient enough that you cant do it to your self). Would make Sorcerers a more viable option for long lasting grinds, raids and sieges.

I wouldn't mind an ability or more abilities resembling that. Imo chanter should be a 100% supportive class with decent melee-abilities and weak heals (but still heals). buffs, auras, strong temporarily enhancements and perhaps even sacrificial abilities.

A plain mana regen over time buff would work fine, and add value to having one in a party with casters. Make it party only and a short enough timer so they pretty much have to be in the party to make use of it.

Maybe NCSoft will think of it, i'll love to have that because chanter will be a must have in each party.^^

they shouldn't be a must have but rather a good asset to the group

im getting a bit confuzzled. people keep mentioning casters but aren't all classes using mana, wouldn't that be a huge asset no matter what class you're playing making them fit well with any setup?

So pretty much making it a Elder type healer from L2?
Im game, that was the most awesome feature of L2 to be able to give mana back to classes whoever needed it (besides other elders xD).
Im pretty sure they'll incorperate that somehow in Aion. Good idea none the less.

Like recharge you mean? Yep, It would be great and a good reason to have them in party. Give Chanters recharge and CoV and they'll always get a party :P

Mana transfer or mana regen abilities would be great, imo. Anything to eliminate downtime when grinding is a welcome addition.

You're right... that would make playing a Chanter the most amazing experience ever... It would be so fun. I can't wait.

I kind of liked being an Elder because of Recharge

nannying my party. It would be nice if the Chanter could be that, then it would be a Chanter-Cleric partnership like the Elder-Bishop partnership.

It would have been nice to have one or two decent PVP attack skills (though sleep was decent enough before it was nerfed, it didn't always land enough to save me!)

i dont think they should implement mana recharge in aion...people should not be that skill dependant, if you are low on mp than you should think about your next step and not begg/wait for mana recharge.

From CBT2 data, Sorcerers and Chanters both get self-recharge skills, which effectively means that their downtime is probably reduced. However, it does seem a little unfair that Clerics don't get self-recharge skills too, despite being the main healer. I'm not sure though but perhaps the MP consumption for both classes might be a little different.

DP skill for clerics is 50% MP recovery. And a skill that allows the next skill to consume less MP... and... mm.. other things I don't remember :P

Chanters:
A buff that grants MP recovery during normal attacks has been added.

One of the new things added in the newest patch.

I think that one is self only. Though IIRC one of the auras gives mana regen.
