Support Chanter/Battle Chanter

We all know that thanks to the stigma system it'll be possible to customize our characters at least a bit regarding their battle abilities, stats, and other stuff like that. Many people here say that they will try to go for something like "Battle Chanter", which could pvp/pve a bit better than ordinary Support Chanter.

So my question is: What kind of Chanter will You guys try to make? Will to also try to break the stereotype and concentrate on making Your character pvp-able or perhaps will you develop pure-support Chanter which buffs are more effective that those of a Battle Chanter?

Personally, despite the fact that I know that Chanter could pvp quite well if right developed, I plan on making a full support Chanter. I will go for any stigmas, weapon bonuses or stat-boosting quests that improve my abilities as a buffer or healer (yeah I know it won't be much anyway) instead of trying to improve battle skills. Who knows. Maybe some high-end Stigmas will allow us to have some uniqe kick-a** buffs or something like that instead of only boosting our stats? After all in CB they gave assasin a teleport skill so why not give something cool to Chanters?

What's your take on this? Support Chanter, Battle Chanter or perhaps something even different?

Many different instances in WoW, as I've experienced, many builds that people have never thought of before have done very well, so if anyone here wanted to make a pvp chanter, it's most likely possible. Focusing on the right skill sets and the right stigmas could probably make a pvp chanter tough to beat with their buffs and heals.

I wonder if it is possible for a Chanter to become fully functional with a spear weapon, don't know how relavent that would be for their battle functionality, but it seems interesting.

If chanters could use spears to its full potential through the stigma system... then that would be totally bad ***. Not those huge spears with the gigantic blade but something along the lines of Seung Mina from the Soul Calibur series that would look pretty sexy.

Edit: For extra survivability Mace/Sheild LOLOLOL. That would make it fun if Chanters get a sheild stun.

It's impossible to tell at this time. Numbers are meaningless when we don't have a scale, and theorycrafting can and does fail in the live enviornment. With any luck, people will be able to do either support or hybrid, but I wouldn't count on it. And yes, this is driving me nuts as well. I hate not knowing if the class I want is the class they are making.

Chanters are very flexible and if the team needs Damage, i'll play a Batlle Chanter.

Well i'm trying to shoot for a battle chanter. But if there is a list of what stigma's can do in the final run. I would try to make a hybrid chanter. In aspect of dealing some damage *mainly through disables* and then through support *longer buffs/mantra range increase/semi-decent heals*

I chose Support Chanter (like I said before). If Stigmas, weapon effects and similar things will improve Chanters battle abilities at the expense of our buffing skills I definatelly won't go for that kind of a deal. If no penalties will be introduced when trying to make Battle Chanter I'd still go for Support Chanter as every Stigma I choose in favor of improving my battle abilities is one stigma less for support skills.

Tough choice... I chose battle chanter, just because my character in Flyff was a damage oriented assist, but still had powerful buffs.

If I make an alt Chanter, it will be Battle, I like experiments, probably it will be something like the Battle Sage I had in RO, or even maybe like a BD in L2...

But of course my alt, I wouldn't make my main a Battle Chanter. If you're gonna pick Chanter as your main you're supposed to give buffs I guess :P.
