That was my pov on a lvl 31 chanter, seriously hoping it gets better. That ranged stun sounds sweet, but about the balance being focused on end game well, if some1 stops enjoying their class along the way, or just starts getting frustrated about it I dont see how that couldnt hurt the game.
I also dont have that much parry, I usually pop our skill that gives 300 parry when I assume I'll need the extra "less damage", Im going all crit in the hopes that it helps, so far I'v managed to get only 212 critical rate without the critical mantra

Plus,so far,the only buffs I see useful (thinking group here) are the speed and the shield one, and in a pve situation speed is negligible.
It didnt occur to me however to heal roots and slows with potions.. I dunno why but I figured that was meant for melee attacks. As for hp/mana/both potions I already carry them around
As far as pvp go I am still to win against a sorc or a SM,althou over the time I can see that Im getting closer to beat the SM. (I can duel with a friend). Havent pvped much sorcs so I cant state the same

Has any of you successfully won a pvp while ur opponent trys to run away?
I honestly cant keep up and use my skills, even when I get a bit of advance I have time to use a skill, I get the animation, they get dmg, when Im about to use the second they are already to far away (except for the stun mage skill that it tends to fail a lot on ppl my lvl and above)

Well for starters most people serious about pvp are getting the armor with speed enhancement on the boots, up to 22%. Add the fact that they are probably popping speed scroll for up to another 30%. Add another 5% for the speed title and if you aren't doing the same your never gonna catch someone that is. Now if you have all of those plus your speed chant then you'll catch them assuming they don't have dash which increases their speed by 40% for as long as they have the mana (costs them 4% per 6 seconds or something.)

As for the SM you'll get closer and closer until they start getting their end game skills around 40 and then a good one will just rock you. As for the comment about pvp balance being geared for end game hurting the game, no. You see there are some things that you need to understand about the audience they are gearing this game towards. Its the same audience that spent years trying to reach end game in L2 and are extremely oriented on PvP. This means that most people during the grind aren't going to be bothered by getting ganked because they haven't played the care bear games western people are used to. Also this game is geared towards mass pvp in which you need to make sure there isn't one class that is just dominant over the others as has been a problem in the past. So *****ing about the inbalance in PvP being a problem is irrelevant because 90% of most players time will be spent end game and they aren't going to be discouraged by a little hardship along the way.

Gee Im not moaning on imbalance like its serious business, It annoys me that my best skills follow the worse ones (which happen to have a big delay too) and that the buffs rnt really necessary. Getting ganked isnt a problem (quite the opposite in my personal opinion) on itself, it only turns into one when u start getting the feeling there isnt 1 class u'd beat 1to1. Gladly it didnt turn out like that to me but I've had to deal with some get aways that just let me frustrated.
I used to play l2 and buffers there have they'r role. In aion,as a chanter, im neither buffer nor healer nor dd...

Im happy to know buffs will get improvement and that in end game we seem to be needed or at least useful
As far as speed goes I have all those except for the boot speed enhancement that tbh I hadnt even heard about, let alone know how its done

Higher level gear just has it as a stat as do most of the pieces.

Gloves - Attack Speed
Boots - Movement
Chest - Flight Speed

And I doubt you have the 5% run speed title unless they changed the titles in the chinese version.

you get the 3% title at lv13 or 14 iirc, don't have the 5% one.

Hm its the Eiron forest one, thats one of the bonus. I dunno exactly how much it gives, in points its 0.3. The bottled lighting (or something similar) gives me 0.2 and that one is 3%. I have the title description cutted (as most of them) and the number does look like a 5 :S

may be this is off topic but anyone can tell me how I make a macro that put those yellow number sign on monster head? as for now I have to right-click monster hp bar on top of screen then select sign manually .

Go to your key bindings tab and set them to a keystroke.

Update it appears they may have changed the title bonuses and there may not be a 5% speed title anymore and 4% might be the max but that said the title list I have access to while on the road doesn't look complete so I won't be certain until I can log back into the game.

question, anyone having problems landing resonance haze? target moves away when you do a knockback so you have to move a little to use the skill. in this time your skill has a pretty good chance to go inactive. i wish it was longer active, like parrying strike.
