It seemed a bit slower than assassins/gladiators, for example, but way safer, which is pretty convenient economicaly speaking. Anyways, I realized a bit too late that I was able to kill mobs 3/4 levels above me in an almost non-stop way, while the rest of the classes (excepting cleric) can't. If I realized sooner, I would have leveled way faster. I ended up the beta killing level 27/28 mobs with ease in the lava pit of tier 3.

Does that new stun skill last longer than the other ones. I could stun a monster or player for only like 2-3 sec's, it was far too short a time to do anything ?

Enough to place yourself at the enemies back to get a better crit chance with 2 hits, I think this one also has a chance for your enemy to miss target (get even more time at his back).

Can we still be good in pvp while using staff? I prefer staff over a shield.

I'd recommend having both and an ingame macro for switching, since you go from healing to DDing in a matter of seconds, it's the best. Just look at the situation, if the health bars are controlled perfectly by your party cleric, get the staff out and add to the damage, if your party's healer is in troubles with all that damage, switch to shield/maze and heal.

The macro for switching. Look at my picture, its the second to the last icon on the bottom skill bar. The one to the left of that is the macro for soulshots. They can be found in the emotions window. (info for ppl that have not played yet)

I haven't done the tests, mainly because my staff was expensive and my maze wasn't, so obviously, I healed better with the staff. I just used the shield and maze to heal because it improved my survability since my shield was awesome.

There are good chances of parrying with staff, 1-3 every mob.

@ Riku: Yeah, I know ^^ that's what I was refering to. You can make it even more complete if you also switch to robe when healing, faster heals=win.

Even cleric's use staffs alot when pve because of the damage output.

Do you think Alchemy is a good choise for a Chanter? Since pots will give buffs will they stack?

Haven't tested crafting at all tbh, but I think alchemy is just for pots, cooking is for buffs, but then again, it might get a bit redundant, I didn't know the effects from the food so I didn't know if they stacked. Im not sure which professions I'll be getting yet.

Do you get any debuff skills as a chanter for fights? And armor you are talking about (blue, green) are those "soulbound" like in wow or you can resell everything in the game.

Hello Fleiva and thanks for your info.

What do you think about how will chanters be managed on the high end pvp scenarios?

Do chanters have any HARD "counter class" in group pvp or one on one? Will there be any at higher levels, what do you think?

thanks in advance, again!

EDIT: i almost forgot, could you talk to us about the overall survavility please? ^^

I hardly ever used a pot in the game. every now and then i would pop one but i could go with out them. I noticed the other classes besides cleric using the instant heal pot while pvping, but with the long cool down it makes it a one shot deal in any fight. The drop rate for pots in the game is very low and they cost alot from the NPC.
