Problem with the .z01 file

i've downloaded this same file from both the Chinese site and also from Games on Net File Library and it keeps trying to save it as a .zip file. I've taken the data.zip file that is approximately 370 or so Mb, and placed it on the desktop outside of the file with the other data. I've also done this with the data.zip file in the folder with the .exe file with the same result. The .z01 file is 1.86 gig so i can tell the difference, its just the fact of trying to get the installer to recognize that i have all the files necessary to do an install. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need ALL of them in the same folder.

You can find a complete guide on how to do all this.

If you go down to downloading / installing the game, you can see that there is a program to check your data file/folders.

i did everything that guide said to do. when it download the data.z01 file it switches the name and extension to the data.zip name which is already in use by the 375MB file that already has that name

then switch the name to data.z01. Did you use the verifier?

Enable your file extensions and change the file type too .z01.

To enable file extensions go to:

XP: My Computer, click tools at the top. Then click Folder Options. After that, find enable file extensions and make sure the box is checked.

Vista: My Computer > Click Organize > Click Layout > Menu Bar > Then click Tools and follow instructions for XP above.

*EDIT* Maybe you downloaded 2 data.zip's?

ok got it working i think, think im looking at the region list right now, which one of these is the northern region?

Read that full guide again... Northern region should be second one though.
