WTF is wrong with the word filter?

Seriously, wtf is wrong with the word filter, it seems like it has become even more malfuntional since the last beta.

The word "lick" is censored, so when you try to type "Click", it shows as "C****".

"Was supposed" is also censored. So if you type "I was supposed to", it becomes "I w****uposed to".

Last beta's word filter was bad enough, but in this beta they have made it even worse.

Very disappointing NCwest, very, very disappointing.

Hey censor is an anagram of source if the u was spun 180 degrees. That's pretty fitting.

It wont let you say "assassin" either. It blocks out the ********* parts of the word, lol.

Aion isn't as child friendly as WoW, so why would they need a word filter? So sad.

Why the ************ would a game for adults need a ************ing word filter? Why would a ************ing forum have a word filter also?

Probably because some people, though adults can't ************ing handle it.

meh, i know some teenagers that were home schooled and raised in a steel bubble by their mom. if the oldest (16) hears a swear word in a movie she shuts it off and absolutely refuses to watch it.

situations like that just ask for a rude awakening later when you're supposed to grow up and face the world, which in all its glory is not censored IRL : /

I'm not a teen and I wasn't home schooled.

My problem is that if Aion has a word filter, at least make it partially functional so that words like "click', "assasin" and "was supposed" aren't censored.

But yea, I will just turn it off.

dude, i'm not talking about you or your circumstances. i, in fact, agree with you and was only making a response to the two posts above mine. misunderstanding, yes?

i'm just stating a situation in which a filter would be practical (despite being extreme). ugh, i wish beta lasted longer than the weekends, i haven't done much chatting on there and i think the end result of the craptastic filter might be slightly amusing

The fu thing is a huge issue. We tried to type "this game is so fun" and it looked like "this game is so **n"

But the funniest thing was you could type **** and have it say ****.

Turn off the profanity filter and poof not a problem but they really do need to use something more advanced that you can type words like fun and assassin (especially seeing as how it is an AT), just my two cents anyway.

Edit: Well apparently this sites profanity filter doesn't like the word chyt when you type it out for real but the game was ok with it, lol.
