Razer Naga for Aion

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone here has bought the Razer Naga mouse designed for MMORPG gaming:

I saw a video for it, it looks okay. Currently I am using the Logitech G5 gaming mouse. Just wanted some player reviews for whoever had this mouse, or is looking to buy it.

Also I wonder how well it works with Aion..

I was a razer fan for some time until i buyed the G5. Razer has the tendency to mess things up with their left/right (dual) hand mouses. The Naga is probably in the same category and i don't see how comfortable it is to click those buttons.

Edit: forget what i said about left hand, this one can't be for left handers :P but still, clicking those tiny buttons with the thumb looks really hard :O (my thumb is big). I already had problems with the Copperhead and Diamondback clicking those 2 buttons on the side.

I bought a Razer to try out a while back and I returned it the next day for a G500. It wasn't that particular one, though.

Too complex. I'm using the Diamondback 3G and its fine with me.

Why should anyone want a cellphone keypad as a thumb button?
You might think more buttons will help in PVP but in a hectic battle hitting the right key will be a pain...

lol Tianae, i showed the mouse to my friend and he was just like "Nice now you have a phone on the side of the mouse". Hmm Yeah i'm quite happy with the G5 I have, just wondering how useful those bindings will be, or that part of the mouse might get annoying after a while too.

Was sponsored by razer for a while, haven't tried this particular mouse but the things about razer to note are:

Not the best build quality.
Steelseries Xai is coming out soon (blows away most mice on the market).
High DPI isn't necessarily better.
Their infrared sensors are decent, have a decent malfunction speed although they do tend to do weird things from time to time.
Their laser sensors are junk.
Their drivers are just a ram hog.
They are priced quite well.
They make many ergonomic design flaws, such as on the deathadder the sides are slippery.
Their infrared sensors have error correction, pain in the ****.

Please don't fall into gimmicky ****.

Lol the Lycosa is a piece of crap ;O. I used it for 1 day but the numlock light bothered the **** out of me, the LED was so damn bright.

I have a Razer Naga and love it. The thumb pad takes some getting used to but after a while feels very natural. It works fine for Aion as there is a switch on the back of the mouse that allows the numbers to either be 1 - = on your keyboard, or use your numpad. I just switched it to numpad because I never touch the right side of my keyboard when playing anyways.

This is my first Razer item, I cannot vouch for the quality of their other items, but the Razer Naga get's an A in my book.

Hmm, my LED lights where bright white, that could be the reason ;P.

Np, the MX did so well because of the sensor itself. Personally I hate the shape, though I did have amazing aim with that mouse.

I have a razer tarantula in my cupboard somewhere. They make pretty good keyboards for a 'membrane key switch' (google... it's complex to explain). My only real complaint is the keys themselves and it's too wide. Don't get me wrong, the keys in its class are pretty good. I prefer what's called a 'mechanical key switch'. Basically, there's proper metal springs behind each key and if you lower the key half way down it will still recognise as a key press. So I use one of these. A tiny error, the lights in the keyboard interfere with my soundcard, lol. But in all honesty, the razer keyboards are decent.

This is my first Razer item, I cannot vouch for the quality of their other items, but the Razer Naga get's an A in my book.

It would be nice if you could write that in a few months, maybe you will. Time will tell .

I'm currently using a razer salmosa. Waiting for the xai... Must have xai ;D.

I like the Xai mice tho.
