Really cute pets, but I think it's total rubbish. Don't they make enough money with subscription fees, transfer fees, character appearance change, faction change, name change, etc.?

The getting pets/mounts from a special event thing didn't bother me too much I mean it was basically buying your pet/mount, but at least it showed that you were a total nerd for going to blizzcon or whatever.

It's just a scheme to avoid backlash from their player base. If they wanted to donate all the profit to Make-a-Wish, they would do so, they don't, it's a scheme. Companies hide behind charity very often to avoid consumer outcry.

I am with chupy, 50% is pretty thin. They are going to make big money off of this. 90-95% would be better. I can see them wanting to recoup the time invested in in design and implementation but 50% is going to give them alot more than just that.

well, it's $5 they wouldn't have seen... but yeah it should've been $9 and it should've been forever not just until the end of 2009.

No one ever said it's not popular.

Vanilla WoW spoiled me, and it just seems like it's been in a downward spiral ever since BC came out. I'm sure it's a great game to people who came in during BC or WOTLK though.

didn't you just say it was sinking? and that people where leaving?

If 9mill+ is a sinking ship, what does that make the other mmos? sunken wrecks?

Not sure why but WoW has always been the MMO that tempts me back more than others....i think its todo with the flying mounts
